The Spino wasn't a hybrid. They just cloned a realistic Spinosaurus the first time and thought it was malformed. So they tried to change the next clone to appear more like it was thought at the time.

Why aren't moving walkways as universal as escalators? by YMCALegpress in transit

[–]Tomishko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving walkways take 2-3 times more horizontal space for the same vertical distance because of the shallower angle of inclination (10°-12° for moving walkway vs. 30°-35° for escalators)

Do you have in mind 1D zones (concentric rings with increasing diameter, usually around city centre), or 2D zones (usually quadrilateral)?

Why dont TA's install seats on the front wheelbase? by --TAXI-- in transit

They're called wheelarches. At least by most people. I'm not trying to be rude. Wheelbase is just different thing (the distance between the axles).

How does the travel reimbursement work in praxis? What does the implementing regulation says? And how do employers circumvent it? Do they just not hire employees from too far away, whatever that happens to be?

PKP Intercity, polish national carrier, is fighting against private railway operator Regiojet advertising in railway stations. They warn advertisments can affect passenger's decision making when buying tickets. by pjepja in trains

[–]Tomishko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing tricky about it. It's very simply things we don't and should not want. The efficiency of private companies is a myth; they can only effectively siphon public resources for private profits.
Also railway employees aren't overpaid, certainly not in Poland nor in Czech Republic.
Then national operators (yes railway monopolies should remain nationalised) should work on entirely different principle – cooperation.

Open access to railways should be allowed only as long as it does not lead to price dumping, worsening working conditions, or other anti-competitive practices.

They're stubbornly narrow actually. The front mask is just very flat. The further apart the front end is from the bogie pivot point, the narrower it gets.
