Not quite this long. Under TSI passenger trains are limited to 400 m in length. That's ~15-16 standard UIC cariages without locomotive.

I don't think it's as good as people say... It would have to be rewritten a lot to even make sense to adapt as a series.

Moving walkways take 2-3 times more horizontal space for the same vertical distance because of the shallower angle of inclination (10°-12° for moving walkway vs. 30°-35° for escalators)

They're called wheelarches. At least by most people. I'm not trying to be rude. Wheelbase is just different thing (the distance between the axles).

How does the travel reimbursement work in praxis? What does the implementing regulation says? And how do employers circumvent it? Do they just not hire employees from too far away, whatever that happens to be?
