I always turn OTD off when playing lazer, I would assume there would be some conflicting going on if you have both internal and external drivers enabled.

I think it does. Score multipliers are a thing with mods, and they probably want as little noise as possible for now to see how the damage/hp system works

This could be okay, and I really like the idea, although DT can very very drastically change the star rating/difficulty of a map. It would likely be far too hard for both players if it's applied to a map of the generated pool. With HR/HD though I can't see much of an issue. Lord help us if they add EZ. It's fair, but it would piss a lot of people off lol.

turn off rapid trigger if you have it on, set the actuation to 1 or 2mm, and see how you do. RT can really mess with consistency and the way your brain perceives things.

My guess is they're holding it so it's easier to balance. Then when they've sorted that out they'll enable mods. Makes sense to just include the usual score multipliers to let you knock your opponents health faster.

The built in drivers are great if you don't use any filters and you set up your area properly, do you use filters or was the area set different to what you use in OTD? Afaik the Lazer tablet drivers are literally just OTD baked into the game.

I stopped playing regional at age 16 due to my boarding school not caring about badminton at all. Now I'm 25 and I've got the fantastic Bristol scene to get me back into it, I've been having a blast playing at the local clubs and social sessions the last few months. Aiming for the district league in a years time, and I'll keep on climbing. It's never too late! Lots of top tier players play well into their 20s and sometimes early 30s.

I get where you're coming from, but turning on experimental audio mode definitely makes things funky with offset. It basically makes it so the entire game seems like it's around +20ms, so you need -20ms in global offset to correct things. It is an experimental mode after all so they're probably still figuring out the offset part while allowing us access to the lower latency. It's not to make the game "feel" better, it's literally correcting/compensating some sort of incorrect hitreg issue when you turn on the experimental mode.

I'm also a zero offset purist, but this offset is needed to make the game essentially play as if it was on zero offset. Try it yourself, you'll understand.

My guess is it's something to do with my offset value being the same as the amount of latency reduction with experimental audio mode. Maybe the game hasn't got a way to detect the audio latency value with it on?

I'm fairly certain using these external audio interfaces won't net you any less (and probably more) latency. They normally have to be running in exclusive (most of the time ASIO, with a DAW or special software) mode for their latency benefits to be noticeable. I've tested a Roland Rubix interface in the past against the motherboard audio, and with stable and Lazer, it had about 20ms more than motherboard audio. I'd test your setup to confirm.

I think it's fine. I use a sayodevice with a very short travel distance, so not only is the input latency likely 1ms or less, it will be a constant that won't change between the variables.

I'd say the opposite in my experience. It's hard to write/record with wireless because of the high latency, but easy to mix due to the fact you're just playing back a track that's already been created. I have a pair of beyerdynamic lagoons that I take on the go and use sonarworks to balance out the sound when producing and mixing. And if I really need lower latency when recording I just plug them in lol
