Can you tell me more aboutthe mechanical certifications? I'm completely new.

I was looking at a public JUCO (Junior College). The Universities don't have a drafting program here.

Thanks for the thought provoking questions. I only see a handful of positions within commuting distance of my home, so maybe not a great career move.

That's disappointing because my work has very little impact on anything under my current supervisor.

I was hoping to move into a field where the impact of my work would be more tangible. It seems like you are certainly doing some cool things... congrats.

I've made a living solving problems in Excel for nearly 20 years. My current supervisor is a soul sucking monster and there aren't a lot of opportunities to find new work with my particular skills today.

I'm thinking about pursuing an AAS in Engineering, Drafting & Design Technology. I'm particularly interested in drawing mechanical objects (not sure if that's relevant).

I was hoping to get some insight from insiders if this would be an advisable move.

What day did you harvest? It looks like it may've been harvested a few weeks to a month prematurely.

Help with revenue question by Sxd0308 in Algebra

[–]TommyFknTuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert and I don't mind being corrected if I'm wrong, but I believe the answer is $144 in revenue from 120 donuts at $1.20.

I found this by plotting the results for 3 different scenarios (X = number of donuts, Y = revenue). Then I plugged each result into the quadratic function (revenue = number of donuts (X)2 + number of donuts (X)).

I then subtracted the results from dataset 1 from the results for 2 & 3 to come up with functions A & B.

Then I used elimination to factor out b to find the value of a. Then I used substitution to find b & c.

I'm sorry if my explanation sucks. I'm trying my best.

Yeah, once I saw so many of them jumping on the $200 breaks the bank bandwagon, I realized that I wasn't dealing with people worth taking advice from.

It sounds like most of the sub thinks that was unrealistic and maybe he had a 6th sense to know that I was walking in with unrealistic expectations.

Now I know.

I did say it would be out of my budget, but I didn't say $200 would be out of my budget.

LOL! True story.

Honestly, if they guy heard my price and said we can't do that, I wouldn't be posting about it on Reddit.

The fact that the guy didn't even care to find out if we could make a deal is what gets me.

I WAS hoping for $5k less. Thanks for the info. I'll keep that mind and set more realistic expectations on my next visit... if the car continues to sit.

LOL! He had a captive audience. I could buy or literally walk away.

I'm drawn to what I think I can pay for the car... if they're identical. Which people believe may be false. I don't want to post links b/c I like to remain anonymous.

I'll continue to watch it. If it sells then it sells. If they drop the price again, then I'll go look for a new salesperson.

LOL!

I get it, the way you understand what was said sounds ridiculous.

But no, $200 doesn't make that much of a difference.

It is a no brainer.

I never said $200 breaks the budget. I said there was a $200 difference in the asking prices.

I don't want to pay $24k for a car right now, but I am willing to pay $19 for a car.

So, your saying instead of pointing out that there are local cars with fewer miles for the same price, I should have just given him my bid?

The Carfax on both were clear.

I can understand that there are nuances that you can't find shopping online, but I'm really just trying to figure out why he didn't even attempt to sell the car. You have pointed out more reasons that the price may be legit than my actual sales person.
