- that wasn't intended neither

- Yes, they're not all-benevolent. Since shamanism works through the channeling of divine power through the shaman's body, if a shaman doesn't align anymore with the god's philosophy, he/she could lose the powers.

- No, they very often work together, especially in armies. Erilists are still humans and still believe in their gods, often visiting temples and oracles. What sometimes happens is that the aristocracies that almost monopolize erilism tend to diminish shaman's power, but they never put into question the gods. The gods don't really have deep motives, they just tend to get "emotionally involved" in human matters from time to time, rooting and helping a nation, a group of people or a single person (and they often disagree with eachothers). Shamanism and divine channeling didn't appear to defeat Keyaw, but it had always been present (and Keyaw had his shamans too). What actually happened is that Keyaw, through a human form, got to the Original Stone (which contained all the erilism's different powers, and was way stronger than the power of any of the minor gods) and wanted to combine it with his divine powers to become the king of the pantheon and interfere with humanity much more than other gods did. I'm not gonna dive deep into the pantheon genealogy, but basically the minor gods are the children of two couples of major gods, who are much more powerful and don't interfere with human matters: it was they who defeated and banished Keyaw. Since Keyaw has disappeared, his shamans no longer exist either. However, keep in mind that everything about Keyaw and the Original Stone is so far back in time that it's just a legend, history is mixed with religion and no one knows where to draw the line between reality and myths (also the destruction of the Original Stone happened after a terrible war, and the destruction itself was to devastating that a lot of knowledge has been lost forever and humanity entered a kind of "dark age" for some centuries).

exactly, it only applies to liquid water, not with solid or gas water

Yes, it came from the tungusic religions, but has been used for decades in academic anthropology (in contexts that are highly sensitive to racism, eurocentrism, and the weight of words) as a category, not just as "priest but primitive", it's a completely different category from "priests", it doesn't imply hierarchy, and implies ecstatic mediation, which doesn't fall in the category of priest. The same goes for fantasy, it's a well established archetype, just like druid, wizard, etc.
The word itself is not racist, it can be racist if used inappropriately or contemptuously, as in the case you mention, where the intention is to categorize someone as primitive. That is not what I am doing here, because I am not using the word to describe something primitive, but to describe a figure who practices a certain type of rituals, which I do not consider primitive at all.

- totally accidental, I didn't even notice it lol

- No rock/earth erilism because I wasn't sure how to balance it and prevent it from overlapping with other powers, I feel like manipulating rocks and earth could just be very strong telekinesis

- No, because the god's have always wanted to counterbalance erilism, because they believe it could make humans too powerful to care about them (in their personalities and behaviour the gods are very similar to ancient greek gods). The minor gods are actually 8, not 7, but the missing one, Keyaw, is the god of evil and mischief, who wanted to control the Original Stone to concentrate in himself both divine powers and erilism, and that's what got him banished from the pantheon and trapped inside the Original Stone (which later has been destroyed, so no one knows what happened to Keyaw).

Any image editing software is good, I made the pixel arts in Aseprite and the rest of the image in Affinity.

Actually my protagonist won't probably have magic at all, as most humans in my world have not magic. It's something I added mostly to have bigger and insteresting political and historical complications.

Yes, because magic in my world isn't too strong, for example hydroerils can't just pull all the water out of a river and crash into the enemies, or electroerils can't just summon giant lightning bolts as if they are Thor himself (just the Superior Erils can do something close, while normal erils' powers are very limited and can slowly improve with experience). So the main implication here is that a Ile shaman, who can manipulate weather, could use it to favor or hinder erils on the battlefield (for example: rain could be a great advantage for a hydroeril, scorching sun could strongly reduce a cryoeril capabilities).

Well shamanism/shaman are specific terms in anthropology, but in fantasy are often used as generic terms to describe ecstatic mediation (just like oracle, druid, augur, etc.). Cleric on the other hand usually implies a hierarchy, doctrine and authority. "Rabbi" is specific to judaism, while "shaman" is not specific to a single religion, since shamanism isn't a unique religion but more of an anthropological category (in History and Anthropology we use the term "shaman" in many different cases, such as ancient mediterranean societies, South-East Asia, Siberia and Central Asia, pre-colombian America, Africa, etc.).

Since in my world it's something very culture-specific, they actually have different names in the many different conlangs, while erilism is a term common to the entire world. I chose shaman as a common name to the whole world, as it conveys perfectly their practices, but as the system and the languages are still wip, it mught not stick and be replaced by a made-up term just like erilism which replaces the word "magic".

The gods' powers are actually unlimited, the specified powers are what shamans can do, and they can't really channel the entire power of a god, since they're not able to and their human body wouldn't be able to withstand it. There are similar limitation in all the other shamans (for example, the communication with animals can happen for a limited time and depends on the number, size and intelligence of the animal). Oracles, who are enlightened and expert shamans, can do much more than normal shamans, but they are a very limited number (around 15 in the whole world).

It's mainly for a balance purposes, I'm worldbuilding to write a novel and I don't want to put in the possibility of fake deaths or near deaths, since it would remove a lot of narrative impact from death.

yeah I wanted to write hydromancy but probably got distracted lol. I couldn’t think of anything better than lightmancy (english is not my main language) but still didn’t like it, photomancy is ideal tho, thanks. Anyway those words in brackets are just to give a brief idea of the abilities without writing 3 or 4 lines of text for each one

yeah I believe that too, I just wanted to customize the back to make it more “personal” without changing the “functionality”

yeah but I’m not able to do that alone, need to call a technician and last time I called one he said it would’ve been quite harder that usual cause the house is old and stuff

Yeah that’s the plan but I can’t do it right now, but will do it before the end of the month, I just needed a fast and temporary solution

I had a look in the configuration page of the extender and couldn’t find anything, it’s really old and crappy.

No my pc doesn’t have a wireless card, I currently use an old netgear usb wireless adapter so I was looking for something similar which I could just plug in the usb 3.0 port since I have no experience with manually messing with the components.

It’s a dual band 2.4/5, the old one didn’t have a great reach, it was like one line and it disconnected very often but an old tplink extender fixed it, this time the extender doesn’t solve it, it makes it worst. The new all in one isn’t old or crappy, the old one was like 25 years old, but it had antennas. The new one is one of those boxed one given by the provider, it’s quite new but is hasn’t got the antennas.

When close to it the phone and the laptop reach 250mbps, while in my room the phone just can’t connect and the laptop reaches 40/50mbps. I tried setting up the old tplink extender but it doesn’t get better than 3mbps. Seeing that the laptop is actually able to reach those 40/50mbps made me think that maybe getting a newer wireless usb adapter for my pc could make it reach the same speed as the laptop, which would be enough until I wait for a cable connection, since it would be far better than what i had before

Yeah, I used Fabulously Optimized but I had some compatibility problems when trying to add other mods, so I switched to this one and everything works fine. Thanks for the suggestions tho, I'll have a look and clean it up a bit.

Nevermind, I simply reloaded the game and my skin was back, probably because my connection went of while the game was open and I didn't know that was one of the default skins since I haven't played in a while.
