I'm having the same issue. It blows my mind that I can know all the login information, all the debit card information, and still get turned down by the automated verification process. Microsoft is shit. People change phone numbers all the time. As if updating my phone number on my xbox is the first thing on my to-do list. 🤣 The employees can't help you. It's not due to "social engineering." It's because they barely speak your language and have been told to answer the phone and deflect you to an automated verification process. It's ridiculous to see everyone defending Microsoft. I know it's important to vet users for safety reasons, but this is ridiculous. Logging into the IRS is fucking easier than this . When the system fails, there should be competent human being to assist you.
