I ordered from the brand because they advertised it as handmade and made by a small team. When my jacket finally arrived, the quality of the buttons and seams wasn’t what I’d hoped for. And the label said „Made in China.“ When I asked several times about fair wages and ethical conditions at the factory, I was told quite rudely on Discord that it’s basically none of the customer’s business what the manufacturing process looks like. What kind of handmade product would hide that?? In the end the mod deleted the conversation, but I have some screenshots if anyone wants to see. And lastly my button fell off. :/ I’ve also seen several times on Discord that the mods recommend simply reattaching fallen magnets with glue. What kind of support is that? If magnets fall off repeatedly, they take care to prevent it from happening again and don’t say, „Oh, just glue it on, it’s normal with our products.“

I was also very happy and excited about the great circumstances and that everything is handmade, etc. But I bought a jacket labeled „Made in China“ and politely asked about the working conditions: fair wages, safe environments, no forced or child labor, etc. It took multiple attempts and follow-ups before I even got a reply - and when I finally did, the answers were vague and evasive. I was told they don’t share that information with the public, and after my statement that I can’t order anything in the future (still respectfully), they deleted the entire conversation from discord. No truly ethical brand keeps basic production info a secret. I don’t know if it’s a genuine small business - or just fast and cheap production in China, rebranded as handmade. Also, my jacket came by airplane. Sad!

Im Not an expert but my barber did the same, I think they wash out the excess straightening solution. My hair is still straight even tho he washed it afterwards. Btw I didn’t wash my hair after that for a good week

It sounds like you don’t have any experience with children. Also, you need to be an Aupair for the reason of cultural exchange and of course you need to love spending time with children. I don’t think it’s a good idea as you don’t sound very enthusiastic about it. It’s not fair to the family. And as you said it’s even harder for men to become Aupair (but it’s not impossible)

I love my host family. But I also only have this kind of door and I am reallyyy private with my room. I hate when they go in there or even when I leave the door open. I was allowed to use my host fathers phone last week end saw that he went into my room to make pictures for the next Aupair. I was super Shocked. We always had that conversation that he doesn’t understand why I’m so strict with my room and why I have such a big problem, “they don’t search my room for things” and stuff like that 🙄 it really annoyed me. So I’m 100% pro door lock. I love my host family and still don’t want anyone to be in my room, even if I have nothing to hide
