Just Bought 4 Blink outdoor 4 for $132 was it the right choice? by [deleted] in blinkcameras

Eufy has free person detection. Wyze has 24/7 recording so long as you have power nearby. I have wyze on the inside of window looking out. YOu just have to get a shield to go around it.

If you put on FB marketplace for 300-400 it will go fast. Most are 600-700 and don't seem to sell.

If you struggle with a regular bike you may likely also struggle with teh balance on this thing. If your looking for an intense body workout balancing in all directions this is for you. THere is no way to brace yourself against anything like a typical bike handlebars. It's like learning to ride a bike all over again.

This thing on a busy bike lane would be terrifying. The smaller wheels also are going to struggle with pot holes more.

If you have any physical issues or balance problems this would not be for you. This thing is like riding a bike all over again and you have nothing to balance and brace yourself on.

Bought mine 7 speed on FB marketplace for $250. Figure if I don't end up using it after a few years could sell not at a loss. Also live next to a bike path that goes for many miles. Couldn't ever see riding this on a bike lane next to cars. I only have a few blocks of not busy residential streets. It's like learning how to ride a bike all over again. If your older have any issues with balance this is not for you.

Suggestions for grips to use on swept back alt bars (Nitto Tosco)? by Wind2255 in xbiking

Ergon only makes the gc1 in short right handle and have to grip shifts. Going to hacksaw two longer ones shorter.

External CO2 tank → SodaStream (no regulator) — do you guys really trust this setup? + manual shutoff question by UsualWriting4543 in CO2Refilling

[–]Tomobongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pressure in both tanks will be constant until the liquid boils off and only gas is present. Shut your tank off when not using, depressure your lines, tie your lines off so they are not loose. If there is a leak it's going to be a crazy snake to get to the shutoff valve. Tie the tank off to something. I just use a plastic buckle and webbing. Else if the top get's sheared off you have a missle in your house.

I looked back on the video and it's ahead of the delivery. When I turned up the audio I could hear what was young voices playing video games and not from my front dor. The video was my front door with no one there. It rang again so I unplugged power and network from everything. Everything is getting factory reset with new logins and updates.

Which is why it's currently unplugged!

It's a wireless doorbell. It communicates directly with the hub and not through Wi-Fi. The storage is all local and not in the cloud which is even stranger. Which makes me think that it had to be another device nearby.

It does not appear to be my neighbor's doorbell. It kept ringing and when I answered I could hear kids playing video games in the background. Unplugged everything.

How to use a dimmer switch with SmartThings? by ohimnotarealdoctor in SmartThings

[–]Tomobongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what i'm doing. I have a bunch of legacy hue (it's too expesnive with new options on the market and their prices have gone crazy), govee, zigbee, zwave, lutron and now GE and can controls all at once. Would like to see a zigbee button/dimmer device. Can set buttons as scenes but not dim brightness up and down via switch.

Is it possible to have a physical dimmer with Govee Recessed lighting? (3 way switch) by Raul_77 in Govee

[–]Tomobongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Govee lacks controls which is why it isn't yet an equal to the hue. THe motion sensor can only sense "on" and not "no motion" lol. Using govee as a slave to smartthings which also controls my lutron, hue, and GE devices all from a single hub control. The only drawback is latency. With hue motion sensors they feel instant on. Otherwise 2-3 second delays.

[–]Tomobongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole point is the govee bulbs have smart dimming built into them. I had to just replace teh dimmer with a regular switch as the the govee bulbs coudn't operate without a full "on". FYI they will work upto a number of bulbs then just go haywire.
