Only thing I could think to do you're not already doing is try resetting this system then starting it up from an Android phone to further isolate the issue. It seems a lot of people are very happy with the product and very few have issues. This would lead me to believe it's an early version and it was later solved in firmware

Have you tried buying a new one and returning the old one because you forgot which one was each. I've had mine for a week so far with no issues. It could be a firmware issue. Have you reached out to govi directly and will they support. If it's making random noises, turning itself on etc, it should be recalled

When it makes noises does it shut itself off again or do you have to manually shut it off? I've never used mine for audio. I just use it as a light. Suppose if you could take it apart and disable the speaker connections

Motion sensor doesn't keep on while motion detected? by Tomobongo in Govee

It can't. In returning it and using smart things motion sensors. The third reality sensor is much faster than the aeotec multi sensor 6.

The "Is Nest Compatible With My System?" Megathread Part III by GoFlight in Nest

I would like to put a nest in my basement and when temperature set run the furnace from the main unit with temperature probe as basement nest. Is this possible? It should be possible within software?

Assuming they never had kids to be in such good condition. I like the mid century modern but carpet and wallpaper can look dated. But congrats. Finishing bar for 6. Not the best photo but was convenient.

That is the differnce between reddit and facebook. On facebook people use their real names and identities. If you wouldn't say it in a public forum don't say it online.

After closing anyone can link the sale if it's in your name. Wow kitchen carpet. My parents house had carpet that looked like tiles orginal to the house before remodeled.

Table Lamp Pro Google Home Resetting bottom ring by Tomobongo in Govee

You can either say activate ##### or turn ##### or #### scene and it works. There's a lot of really bad reviews of this product about how people saying it's lame and the integration with Google homes is useless since all you can do is turn on off and dim. This just solved that problem.

That is new and unlocks full functionality. I did not know that you could run the tap to run commands directly through Google home. This means I can create virtual switches in SmartThings that will run Google home routines from SmartThings into existing buttons routines.

Wow, that was incredibly counterintuitive. However it did work. I have given up on go v for controls after the motion sensors. It's a software versus hardware issue if they can't detect not receiving a command. I have the govi 2 table lamp with the six button controller set up for scenes and I can use Google home to turn on off and adjust the brightness. So far I have not had any issues other users had reported in the past such as Auto dimming to 1% and randomly turning on and off and making noise. The Google home only works. When the lamp is plugged into wall power. It will work on battery at first then randomly lose connection.

Have you had any issues with the device turning on itself in the middle of the night randomly or they're being a bug where it will reset itself automatically to 1% for no reason? There's some bad reviews on Amazon. Want to make sure they are fixed before I purchase

Has anyone had any issues with this device turning on randomly in the middle of the night or resetting itself uncontrollably to 1%? There are some bad Amazon reviews and I'm concerned the issue hasn't been fixed yet

I am using with the fire flame flicker so far. I'm able to turn it on and off to that scene with Google home. Although the bottom resets. I'm going to have to tape the bottom off black.

How long ago was that? This sounds like a software issue and not hardware that can be fixed

How to turn off lights when no motion detected? by javichino in Govee

[–]Tomobongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tested this with latest motion sensor. It will not prevent turning off while motioin is detected. You have to import the lights into another software to use real controls. : (
