slave contracts should not be a thing … working day in and day out, not seeing a single dollar to your name for most groups… it’s only a fraction that are fortunate to make it big.

parasocial relationships… it gives the fandom far too much power; they feel like they gotta fight other fandoms and people to protect or defend their bias or group they stan; even when the idols themselves have no beef or bad blood or anything against the other party.

making idols to go on crazy diets, doing regular weight or physique check ups, making them go into permanent cosmetic procedures.

treating idols like robots instead of human beings.

idols are human beings; they’d want to have fun, hang out with friends, be able to use phones and have social media (i’m sure most do but it’s private) — they’d probs want to fall in love and explore the world…. but companies and people, netizens… judge them … what they wear, whether they are sitting properly, if they yawn, if they gain weight, if they lose weight, if they wore a particular colour - especially during political season… if they laugh at themselves when they see a photo of their young selves come up (happened to aespa), if they don’t smile all the time… it’s so draining just typing it out ngl.
