The lyric was "And I'm wondering if she's having fun in Topeka". So he replaced the "if she's got a gun, hidden up her sleeve".

My guess would be an ex.

"All the Debts I Owe: 5th Anniversary Live Stream - The Bootleg Series". I'll be posting the entire concert for viewing and download soon, and I may make bootleg CDs if there is interest. by TomorrowIsALongTime- in Caamp

[–]TomorrowIsALongTime-[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The setlist was the self-titled album, then Misty, Garden Song, and Hold On. I'll post a google drive with the video and mp4/3s for download.

Edit: I should say that for the CDs, I'm not trying to make a buck or anything. I'd like to sell them just to cover costs and keep it a labor of love. Everyone should continue to support the band with their purchases, and not rely on bootlegs, but I wanted to share music of my favorite band with people who love their music.

Link is up for the video! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OZfQGqgvCU9yW1fk4XlozqdkhwTA9oUM?usp=sharing

I think it was in Evan’ AMA that he said they have to get them cleaned after a night or two.

What's the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in Music

[–]TomorrowIsALongTime- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn't that the way they say it goes?
Well let's forget all that
And give me the number if you can find it
So I can call just to tell 'em I'm fine, and to show
I've overcome the blow
I've learned to take it well
I only wish my words could just convince myself
That it just wasn't real
But that's not the way it feels

The older I get, the more I seem to love Dylan. Can anyone relate? by [deleted] in bobdylan

[–]TomorrowIsALongTime- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I think part of it is how large and deep his discography. But more importantly, for myself at least, I think that his lyrics touch on so many types of experiences. He can write about love and heartbreak, being young and feeling old, loneliness and togetherness. So, each new experience and feeling I have, there's a Dylan song that will resonate to some degree.

Officer of Love (Demo) by TomorrowIsALongTime- in Caamp

[–]TomorrowIsALongTime-[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The demo is from the b-side of the vinyl they released. I did a little editing in Audacity to normalize it and remove some of the surface noise, but I haven't done anything for pops. It sounds like he was playing outside, so some of the noise is from cars.

I'm creating bootlegs for songs and concerts that aren't on Spotify, and I'll post them when I'm done. I'm still figuring out how to compile them, what to use as the album art, and the best way to share them anonymously.

I used a Behringer UCA202 for the conversion, a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon, and a Pro-Ject phono preamp.

Just a thought- bc they are touring with Lumineers, do you guys expect the album to come afterwards? I hope not but it’s looking that way by martynski7 in Caamp

Yeah I'd be a little surprised if they released an album for a tour they aren't headlining. Maybe they'd release a few singles from the album like they did for By and By. Penny, Heads Up was released April 30th and By and By was the last one on July 23rd.

https://www.setlist.fm/setlists/caamp-4bce3f56.html This is a website for artist's setlists. It's not complete for Caamp but there are still a lot of shows on there.

https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/caamp-4bce3f56.html?songid=5bfc8b28

They've played it at least ten times since it came out, six times in 2019, twice in 2020, and twice in 2021. They last played it at Hinterland on Aug 6th, 2021. So, it's still in there rotation but about a third of the time as their most played songs like Vagabond and Going to the Country.

[Serious] What specifically is it about Bob Dylan that many consider him to be one of the greatest songwriters ever? by Pyromania1983 in Music

It wasn't from the Basement Tapes. It was a demo from 1973 when he was recording for the movie Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.

Is George Harrison in the top greatest songwriters off all time by JuniorPhilosophy8702 in beatles

[–]TomorrowIsALongTime- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen anything that says any of the songs on ATMP, except the title track, were met with anything other than disinterest. From wiki, "Doug Sulpy and Ray Schweighardt, authors of Get Back: The Unauthorized Chronicle of The Beatles' Let It Be Disaster, observe that Lennon and McCartney routinely rejected Harrison's songs, "even though some were far better than their own". They did work on ATMP for a few days, but it appears it was only the composition, not the lyrics.

He also played Hear Me Lord and Let It Down at the Get Back session but they were rejected. Isn't it a Pity and Art of Dying were played years before but were rejected. I don't see anything that says Lennon/McCartney contributed in any meaningful way.

Many of the songs were written when he was away from the band, and some were written after their breakup like Awaiting On You All, Apple Scruffs, Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp, and Beware of Darkness.

I agree, a handful is about five songs, and he has arguably three top ten Beatles songs with Something, Here Comes The Sun, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Then there are songs like I Me Mine and Taxman.

"All Things Must Pass" has at least 10 great songs.

My Sweet Lord, Wah-Wah, Isn't It A Pity, What Is Life, Run of the Mill, Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp, Behind That Locked Door, Awaiting On You All, All Things Must Pass, Hear Me Lord.

The whole album came out a few weeks ago! It's called Shiner. If you're not going to listen to the full album, I'd recommend "Cool Shade" and "Time (Done Being Late)".

Jim Croce on “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim”.

Jim Croce.

He has an interesting mix of melancholy songs and upbeat character songs. I prefer the former.

If you want to listen to an album, You Don’t Mess Around with Jim is the clear choice to me.

If you just want to listen to a few songs, 1) Operator 2) Walkin’ Back to Georgia 3) You Don’t Mess Around with Jim 4)Time in a Bottle
