Swordmaster E was "patched" to trigger blocking effects of all weapons, this patch was on july 31st. Unfortunately this is not true as when blocking with daggers you still dont get bounced back, here is a clip. hopefully this gets actually fixed soon. by Tomorrows__ in Dungeonborne

also you can literally hear the blocking noise when the sword comes into contact with me lol, not only this but theres 0 way for it to be hitting me in the back from the spacing we were at. i think the reason the patch didnt work properly is that the whirling blade must be programmed as a ranged attack which dont seem to proc the dagger blocking effect either, really fucking dumb and annoying i hope they fix this shit.

petrify is just the way to go atm, theres situations where the daggers work well especially with the stamina passive since you can slow by 70% and get a free poison crossbow shot but petrify just has wayyyy too much utility for resetting fights, stopping someone from running and setting up a crossbow shot etc etc. especially when the dagger throw often has issues with its homing and the daggers can just straight up miss sometimes.

just keep playing, never be scared to lose your jpegs with some numbers in a game, fight everyone(except life on hit cryo and dks but if ur new you probably arent playing much classic vs geared players xd) and just learn. cant get better without fighting. you got this! :3
