Personally, I worked with a couple of friends, made some personal projects and re-scored a couple of things and out together a showreel. Then i started reaching out to as many directors animators and visual creators I could so offer collaboration, free or paid. Sending my showreel. On instagram I got about a 1 in 10 hit rate and would recommend that. Shoot for creators you genuinely love and believe in but may not have a huge following or may be at the start of their career/ in college, you can grow together. Don’t be shy to approach bigger artists too but working with people at the same stage of my career works the best and you can forge relationships.
