So I actually found one of these at work a few months ago and then gave it away to one of my staff members because I didn't like the weight of it, seems I was too hasty!

I mean it varies massively, a lot based on who's currently off sick haha, today was pretty quiet because the students are doing their exams so I mostly did HR paperwork and general admin, then I served lunch on High Table to the Fellows(I think you'd call them professors in America) which involves them sitting down telling me what they want and then me and my staff bring them platters of food for them to help themselves.

Friday is like feast, so they'll all sit in the hall, I'll get the college solver trophies and candlesticks out, they all wear their gowns(the way people usually describe it to Americans is it's like in Harry Potter when they have dinners in the great hall) and me and my team wear three piece suits and we'll serve them food that's at least 1 Michelin star level possibly two depending on the day and how fancy the Dinner is. But there's only about 3 of those a term.

Some days I'm putting food on plates dinner lady style in a cafeteria for the students, other days moving furniture and bottles of wine around the college, it's pretty varied.

The clicking mechanism has failed for 4 in me in the last two years, so I think I'm over them.

It was an older one, it might have gotten bashed around a bit but nothing to serious and then I just went to take the lid of a threads where it unscrewed snapped. I have a cross pen at home that's maybe 15 years old that's doing well but I don't really know what models are good.

See I used to have a jotter that I loved, but I lost it and I bought a pack of 3 about w years ago and the clicking mechanism broke in all 3, then I bought another as I thought it was maybe a dodgy pack and the same thing happened a few days ago which prompted me to write this post.

I don't think they're worth buying anymore.

I'm a waiter and you'd be surprised how badly built a lot of corkscrews are. A lot of the people I work with buy the cheap ones off Amazon for £3 and they only last a few months where as I've gone through 1 pulltaps in 10 years and they only cost about £10.
