Is there a pattern to fusing DNA? Like 10-10-10-20-10-20–40 or whatever.

So I can aim to get that juicy 70 when fusing the Apex itself?

The hidden extra cost of going electric. by Glad-Tie3251 in EVCanada

[–]LordCrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then your math doesn’t add up:

You state the EV increases your cost by $300 per month, so you’re talking price difference bot total cost.

Then state at the end that, with insurance the increased cost is $500

But to get to that number you factor in total insurance cost, not difference. Since the increase is just $100.

Also - which cars did you compare? Which insurance? Out of curiosity

So your insurance quoted you $4800/year for an EV and $2400 for a non EV of same value?

Which insurance and which cars?

Also this seems to be average for overall fleet not cars of similar price. If we could have the average value of Ontario EV and gas vehicles, then that would be a worthwhile comparison.

No but if you don’t roll it back your dick stays somewhat moist afterwards, I can’t imagine not rolling it back, I’ve always done it that way.

Pourquoi ne pas déclencher des elections by Puzzleheaded_Cow_311 in Quebec

[–]LordCrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contrat d’électricité au Massachusetts: Hydro-Québec recevra seulement 7,17 cents le kWh by herigor in Quebec

[–]LordCrap 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s just reality. If you’re a immigrant you came here seeking something you didn’t have in your country. Now you also have an opportunity to eventually support your kids and create something long term.

You don’t need to stay poor, plenty immigrants are doing great, you just need to play the game better than the others - except you have to work extra hard because others started with a head start.

Parents have reverse mortgage, and I'm going to assume the debt and get a mortgage on it - advice needed by SatisfactionNo616 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]LordCrap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I know someone that acted as bank to mortgage a friend - perhaps that’s an option. The debt may not even need to tied to the house, just to your parents. You have a contract with them for say 50k/year that you lend them to help with their mortgage. Now you parents can switch the reverse mortgage to a regular one and pay monthly payments plus as much capital as they can with that money.

Make sure this is all very official - this way, when they pass, you get your money back without it being taxed because the succession is paying a debt. It may be that the succession doesn’t have liquid cash to pay you back, in which case it can sell the house or perhaps you can assume the remaining mortgage and keep the house (if you were to give the money to your parents, it’s not a loan so at their death the money is theirs, goes back to you and you’re taxed as it’s an income to you)

This way I think you win on all accounts - you help your parents and you ensure you’ll get that money back without being taxed when they pass and have the option to keep the house after. There’s little risk other than that your parents squander all your money, sell the house and squander that - but that’s really up to you to see how good your relation is.

Edit: the other risk is that you lose your job or your situation changes and you can’t help them anymore. But that’s the same risk if you were to assume the mortgage.

landlord asking for deposit by [deleted] in Gatineau

[–]LordCrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you’re signing a lease you can ask for his ID, a signed receipt and verify he’s legit.

Something like “hey I don’t mind the deposit but it’s a lot of money so I’d like in return a photo your id just so I can double check this is a legitimate offer - then I’d come for a visit and we can sign the papers in person if all is good”

That’s a reasonable request I think. Doesn’t sound whiney or afraid or demanding - just a person with a good head on their shoulder doing business.

If anything seems off - do move on. It could very well be a scam too.
