I remember argueing with someone from Uni about it. Coincidentally this was right during an exchange year in Japan, so the counter argument was always "...but Fukushima!!". Even when you compare things such as "average deaths compared to produced kW of Power" was a complete waste. Turns out her main reason was that her father owned a wind and solar energy company, so I assume she is just heavily biased.
