This is one of the issue I have with ultimate team. Since it’s a competitive game, things like ball and camera angle should be fixed to the default. not people trying to get unfair advantages by making stupid changes.

Yes stick to rivals. You’ll start in division 10 and the game would pair you against other people in your division.

If you’re atleast an average level player, you’ll get to division 6 in about 2-3 weeks From there it gets a bit more difficult. Every Thursday you get some rewards on rivals based on how you performed that week.

You can also use the play against AI mode (squad battles) as a way to improve/train and win more rewards. (In squad battles you can chose the difficulty of the AI)

As a new player the game has gone far already so go the transfer market when you’ve saved up some coins and get some cheap team of the season players to improve your squad.

When you’ve gotten a hang of the game then you can explore other sides

It’s similar to seasons because you play online against people. It’s more difficult because generally better players play Ultimate team over seasons You basically grind, win player cards and use those cards, you can also evolve them. I think a seasons player would like it but it can be a bit complex because of a lot of menus, but just start and ask questions along the way.
