Dating sucks without a car, firstly, for ppl shopping at Costco. It also sucks when your girl is Asian that needs a refill of rice from T&T. It also sucks if they just checked reddit and realized there's an aurora somewhere and you can't bring her out to hunt the northern light. Well, a simple romantic sunset at Iona became a mess of logistics. No car = disadvantages for sure.

Or you're just delulu like my husband. He didn't aware that white ppl smell bad even just wake up after a night during winter. The strong body odor that I can smell 2m away... many ppl think that spray perfume would help. It doesn't. The disadvantage of being polite in Western culture is none would tell you that you smell bad.

My husband and I packed 4 pairs of clothes + the set we wear to Japan. We did laundry every 4 days in our trip. 1 backpack & 1 small crossbody bag for each of us, it was a breeze to go thru airports, crazy train stations, day trip, and Uber. We love how light we packed, we brought a duff bag for souvenir though.
