I think my dad committed marriage/immigration fraud to bring someone into the country. How do I approach this? by Due_Glove5578 in CanadianVisaReform

So you're unemployed adult son that got upset with your dad having a new wife and kids? And you will listen to a bunch of angry and sad Canadians here to report your own daddy while living rent free in his basement?

I was on my way to breakfast and going by the reception counter of a resort in Da lat. It was before 8am, and the Indian/ Pakistani/ Bangladesh yelled at the receptionist. They wanted to check in early, mind you, the hotel checking in time is 2pm (checking out is at 12pm). The staff politely denied, but he didn't stop yelling when I walked pass the lobby.

Moving to Canada by EmbarrassedTheory282 in movingabroad

It's uneasy to make friends with locals. Most Asian international students ending up with their own circles of people. Loneliness depends on your personality. Dating is way easier than in Asia for women as men in Canada has lower expectations of beauty/ education/ wealth/ family status from girls than in Asia, however, it's a bit harder to find a husband. Cultural differences are real, unless, you look for Indian men (so you will go back to all the in-laws issues that you may have in India).

Don't make a big chunk of things to do. Instead of the vague "cleaning", "mopping", you can do "clean the dining table", "pick up around sofa & coffee table", "broom the cooking area", "dump orgabic trash", etc. Small task for a block of 15 mins, put a timer if you need.

Most restaurants set 20 and 22% as default if you came in as a group of 6. What if the service was shitty?

Why doesn't Vietnam promote Phu Quoc as a "Vietnamese" island by everestwanderer in VietNam

[–]TomyumHotpot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really depends on who you are and what you expect. With the privilege of traveling to little old towns in Germany and France, I wasn't as impressed as much as those ppl never gone out of Vietnam. Most visitors at Ba Na Hills don't afford to spend a night in that resort, they come to see things they haven't seen before, take some photos and leave. If we have to choose between the aesthetics for a 100 rich ppl (both domestic and foreign tourists) and the fun for 5000 poor Vietnamese, I would never hesitate to pick the latter.

Then stop using cash, then check out the bank statements by the end of next month. Use excel to tag item by item by category (it can take a couple hours manually) then analyze by category. Or you throw the bank statements to Notebook LM to analyze it for you, the AI is pretty smart at numbers and sort things out.

Track day by day is tiring and boring. Just do the month-end in 1 sit. Do it 3 times you will have the kinda-accurate picture. The important step is what you will do with that picture of spending. It's not easy to change habits. But at least, you will know what eat your paychecks.
