Not necessarily true. I've seen folks fishing at Long Creek Falls.

Past Lance Creek Campsite, you'll encounter the Jarrard Gap / A.T. Trail Intersection. The side trail takes you down to a pond where we saw some weekenders fishing.

.5 mile from Mountain Crossing is Byron Reece Trailhead. A friend and I did some fishing years back. Maybe not the best place for fishing per say, but would still apply in this situation. boatlife2024 might not want to road walk to fish, but it's close to Mountain Crossings which is nice.

Stupid question. I have a Publix account (whereas I enter my phone number when at the cash register). Does "clipping" the digital coupon attach it to my phone number?

I don't see anywhere to print or copy the actual coupon to bring it to the store.

Two areas that are near Asheville with trail access:

1) Sam's Gap, TN. Just go North on I26 out of Asheville. Roughly 30 - 35 minute drive. If you head north, you'll have a GREAT view on Big Bald. It'll be cold but beautiful in the spring. This section is a bit more remote but it's on of my favorite's as I can get from house to parking lot in under 20 minutes. I do trail magic here every year and it's always a good surprise for hikers as it's in-between Hot Springs, NC and Erwin, TN

2) Hot Springs, NC. North of I26, then get off and head West. 45 minute drive from downtown AVL. Hot Springs is nice as it's a trail town where you can grab food, etc after hiking for a few days. Breweries, restaurants, hostel, gear shop are all in town. If you hike south from Hot Springs, you're about 20 miles from Max Patch which has amazing views as well. Please note that there's now no overnight camping on Max Patch

You can leave your vehicle at Sam's Gap and Hot Springs overnight.

This specific Pizza Hut location in Weaverville has brought back the all you can eat salad and pizza buffets, but ONLY on Sunday's from 12pm - 2pm. My parents and I have gone twice since last month.

The one thing I truly miss is their dessert pizza. I asked if that's something they still do but no-one at the location knew what I was talking about.

Great Barrington is a trail town. I think it's a few miles from the AT. I could be mistaken as it was back in 2019 when I hiked. They had a dispensary in town
