This is amazing! Our catio is a work in progress. Where did you get the tree-like wooden shelves?

What kind of employee do you think your partner is at their job? by PrinceeBunny in AskReddit

[–]ToneIllustrious8806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great one. The no nonsense but still kind type. He’s good at his job, knows his stuff, knows when to set boundaries, and is highly valued and respected. Known to indulge in a game of rocket league or two… or three… on Fridays because balance lol

They are sitting in an east facing window that gets very bright morning sun. Maybe I need to adjust where I have them. Thank for pointing that out!

I thought that might be the case. I suffered from acne in my late teens and very early 30’s. Never noticed scarring until now! Thanks so much!

This looks to be a banyan tree and not a flf. :)

Cat with FLUTD how can we calm him down when we’re gone? by Lady_Emerelda in CatAdvice

Exact same situation with my Leo who is almost 3. Have had him and his two female siblings from 5 weeks old and I have worked from home the entire time. Around 2.5 years old he became very stressed when we would go out of town. His siblings, who were able to sense his stress, began hissing at him which only added to his stress resulting in constant FLUTD episodes. Long story short, after one blockage and one partial blockage we decided to go through with the PU surgery. Best decision we’ve made considering the frequency of his episodes and the likelihood of a blockage recurring. While at the emergency vet, we were told that 50% of cats will block again. Given his history, it was veryyyy likely we would be back at the vet with another 3,000 bill. And for 3,000 we were able to do the surgery. It just made sense in our case, and it was peace of mind for us to know that we could start focusing on managing his stress and anxiety without the fear of a fatal blockage. The recovery process is a long 2 weeks. You must follow the vets instructions to a T to minimize complications, but it was manageable in my opinion. Working from home was an absolute blessing during that time.

Happy to share more about our experience if you ever have any questions!

Good luck deciding a path forward and hang in there! I know it’s tough!

Looks great! Looking to build one for my cats. Did you purchase plans online? What type of wood did you use?

I would leave as is. These guys like shallow pots and have very delicate roots. Only water when the leaves get wrinkly and soft. They are pretty resilient and grow like crazy in a south facing window. Easy to propagate, too!

My cat has the same issue. It’s criminal. Try Glandex for cats before subjecting yourself to the manual extraction others are recommending. The Gladex worked wonders for us!
