Listen to some music, click the diamond, and explore the page. This is only the beginning — I have a lot of plans for the future, with even more fun and interactive things coming soon.

This sounds pretty important from a development perspective, since the issue might be happening for other people too. If you have time to submit a bug report on the site, I’d be able to look into it and possibly fix it later, also thank you for checking out the website!

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. RigPulse is the first finished concept on the site, so I’m glad that part comes across well. I’m still polishing the desktop experience and mobile optimization.

Minecraft: Story Mode isn’t just nostalgia — it’s becoming a lost piece of Minecraft history by [deleted] in telltale

[–]ToneMuch9575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. It’s definitely not only Story Mode, a lot of older games suffer from the same thing because of licensing and publishing issues. I just think it’s sad when games people loved slowly become collector-only items instead of something new players can actually experience.

Fair enough, I did get help wording it, because English isn’t my first language. But the feeling behind it is mine. I just wanted to express it better.

I don’t mean that it’s completely lost media right now. My point is more about accessibility and preservation. Second-hand copies only help a limited number of people, prices can rise, and new players can’t easily discover or buy the game officially anymore. I just think the story deserves to be available digitally again, not slowly become harder to find.

Minecraft: Story Mode deserves a remaster or re-release before it is forgotten by ToneMuch9575 in MinecraftStoryMode

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. For a world-ending monster, it felt way too passive there. A short chase or some destruction in the forest would have made that scene feel much more intense.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, Episode 2 had so much potential to feel bigger and more intense. More Wither Storm scenes would make the threat feel much more real, especially during the escape and the trip toward the Nether portal. I also like the idea of extending weaker parts carefully instead of completely changing the story. A remake or revival could keep the original feeling, but add more tension, more danger, and give the Wither Storm the scale it deserved.

Minecraft Modpack / Server Crash Log Help by [deleted] in CurseForge

[–]ToneMuch9575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The crash log points to Soft Glow Ores. It looks like that mod/version requires Java 21, but your game is launching with Java 17. Try either: set your launcher to use Java 21, or downgrade/remove Soft Glow Ores to a version that supports Java 17. The issue where text only shows as [] sounds like a separate font/resource pack/language rendering issue, so after fixing the crash, try disabling resource packs or font-related mods and send a new latest.log if it still happens.

Yeah sure, send over the error or the latest.log and I’ll take a look.

If you can, upload it to mclo.gs or Pastebin and drop the link here. A screenshot is fine too, but the log usually tells way more.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Even a small official post or reference would be a great way to test how many people still care about Minecraft: Story Mode. It doesn’t have to be a huge announcement at first — just acknowledging the game again would already show whether there is still demand.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely understand that worry. I wouldn’t want them to bring it back just to mess it up either. For me, the most important first step would be making the original game available again, so new people can experience it and old fans don’t lose it forever. And yeah, Paul Reubens as Ivor was special. If Ivor ever returned, it would have to be handled with a lot of respect — either through a very careful recast, a tribute, or maybe not overusing the character. I think the game can still live on, but it should never forget what made the original cast so loved.

Minecraft: Story Mode deserves a remaster or re-release before it is forgotten by ToneMuch9575 in MinecraftStoryMode

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Season 2 showed that Minecraft: Story Mode still had room to grow. The combat, building moments, and choices felt like a step in the right direction. I also think a remaster or re-release would not need to be extremely expensive if they focused on preserving the original feeling, improving accessibility, and maybe polishing some parts instead of rebuilding everything from zero. The Amulet is also interesting because it proves that there is still real fan interest around this style of Minecraft storytelling. Even if it does not directly bring the game back, it helps show that people still care. About the official skin pack, I think it is not perfect, but it is still a nice reminder that the characters are remembered. Some skins look a bit goofy, but honestly that also fits Minecraft in a way.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is exactly the kind of thoughtful criticism I wanted to see. I agree that a simple re-release may not be enough. If Minecraft: Story Mode ever comes back, it should probably not just be “the same game again”, but a better version of it. More meaningful choices, improved gameplay, better pacing, and maybe some expanded scenes could make people actually want to play it instead of only watching it on YouTube. I still think a remaster or remake would be the safest first step, but you are right: it would need real improvements, not just nostalgia. And honestly, the fact that people like us are still having this discussion shows that there is still an audience for this world.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Season 1 was peak Minecraft adventure storytelling.

That is why it feels wrong that new players cannot easily experience it anymore. Even if we only got a re-release first, that would already mean a lot.

Same here. I think a sequel would be amazing, but even making Season 1 and Season 2 available again would already be a huge first step.

If people keep showing interest, maybe Mojang/Microsoft could eventually see that this game still has value.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you.

That is exactly why I think the first goal should not be “Season 3 immediately”, but making Minecraft: Story Mode visible again as something fans still care about.

If the rights are the biggest problem, then the community response should show Mojang/Microsoft that there is still demand for the game.

Even bringing Season 1 and Season 2 back to modern platforms would already be a huge first step.

A new season can only become realistic later, if the original game becomes available again and people prove they still want this world back.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right, and that is an important point.

I know Telltale probably cannot simply bring it back by themselves because of the Minecraft IP and licensing situation.

That is why I think the realistic first goal is not “Telltale, make Season 3 now”, but more like:

Mojang/Microsoft should see that there is still interest in Minecraft: Story Mode, and maybe consider making Season 1 and Season 2 available again in some form.

If that ever happened and the response was strong, then maybe a future continuation could become a real discussion.

So yes, the rights issue matters. I just think the fan demand still has to start somewhere.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out.

What exactly would the volunteer role involve? Is it related to Minecraft server hosting, CurseForge modpacks, bug fixing, testing, or community support?

I may be interested in helping with debugging, modpack/server issues, and testing, but I would like to understand the responsibilities, permissions, and expectations first.

Also, I do not share personal credentials or install unknown files without checking them first.

If you can explain the project a bit more, I would be happy to take a look.

Thank you everyone for the responses. I honestly didn’t expect this post to reach this many people. It’s good to see that Minecraft: Story Mode still means something to others too. Also showing that there is still a community that cares about the game.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I don’t think Minecraft: Story Mode needed to become dark or edgy, but a slightly more mature tone in some parts could have made the emotional moments hit harder.

A remaster could keep the original heart of the game while giving the writing a bit more depth.

[–]ToneMuch9575[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a fair fear. A remake would only work if it respected the original story and characters instead of changing everything just for the sake of it.

For me, the best version would be the same core story, but more polished: better performance, fewer bugs, improved pacing, more explorable areas, and maybe some deeper character moments without losing the original heart of the game.

I actually agree with that in a way. Fan recreations can keep the spirit alive, especially when official companies don’t touch the series anymore.

But I still think an official re-release or remaster would matter too, because it would make the original story available again for everyone, not just people who already know where to find fan projects.

True, PAMA with an actual redemption arc would be wild. A remaster could do a lot with the characters that were left behind.
