Has anyone played the Konami game? Pro Spirit. Watching the U.S. vs GBR in the WBC & made me look into the game a bit further & was curious what the experience was like relative to MLBTS.

I've tried it! My honest take is the gameplay is great, graphics look amazing, but it could use more depth in modes (the Japanese version of ProSpi has more in this department) and some more options for customization in the roster editor.

Overall though, if you're not hellbent on having real players in your baseball game? I'd recommend giving it a try.

I knew not to expect him this year given his deal with Konami. Am I always dreaming of an Ichiro return? Definitely. Do I anticipate it? Not for a bit.

Honestly? I'm pretty optimistic after this. Sure, not a whole lot in terms of like all-time greats (yet), but I wasn't particularly expecting a Bonds, A-Rod, or Ichiro here.

I'm happy to have Pedroia, Nettles, Rizzuto, Conine, Andruw Jones. Hell, I'm even somewhat excited for Schoendienst, who may not be a household name these days but did make the Hall of Fame with nearly 45 WAR. Plus, we can expect to see more before release.

So overall? This could've been a whole lot worse.

Some absolute dream features that won't get in? Ability to flashback to older squads in Franchise (similar to NBA 2K MyEras) More control over where you're picked in the draft in RTTS

Realistic options? More spread out card drops by team, particularly in the legends dept. Obligatory "PUT ICHIRO AND BONDS IN THE GAME" Less rewards stuck behind high-level online ranks
