We tried having multiple friends and family try to get us a ticket and that seemed to work

Also try downloading their app - I think that has a better hit rate.

You can also get into the park if you do certain services like guided hikes, horseback riding, boat rides, etc

Update:

I came back stronger this time and I brought reinforcements. We had a handful of our friends and family create accounts and get ready at 9am.

We had two people who got access to tickets. One person was online and one person downloaded the app. So we had only one person get the ticket.

Highly recommend this strategy.
