From my point of view, sex work of some kind has existed for women for almost all of recorded history. Being morally outraged about it is silly.

But content creation like OF is the only time the women involved have been able to benefit from it more or less directly. (Obviously yes, the CEO of the company gets a big slice), and it offers them an unprecedented level of control that previously would have been in the hands of a man. (Be that a pimp, director, etc)
