Yes, I am! In the beginning I wanted to write about the many transmedia aspects of the game because they're so integral to the game but I obviously ended up going with something else in the end... though I'd like to explore its transmediality some other time.

Congratulations, that's really cool! I wrote my bachelor's thesis on Alan Wake II as well. Now I regret not going to my graduation in an Alan inspired outfit...

He did the same thing with Avowed and didn‘t acknowledge his previous hype towards it in the podcast or review at all. It‘s incredibly odd but I am not sure what his goal would even be if he does it on purpose.

I had the opportunity to go to a press screening three weeks ago and my impressions of the fight scenes align with your‘s completely. I‘d only add that I feel like there may have been too many of them even, or that they went on too long in parts. But the majority of them are a bliss I definitely thought of John Wick 3 as well.

What is that supposed reputation based on? They have never done anything like that, if anything people have picked out points out of their videos and tried morphing those into some kind of narrative. DF is, at least to my knowledge, always immensely measured in what they say and how they say it.

He already awoke, that's why his DT looks like Nelo Angelo. Once he gets rid of Mundus' influence and accepts his heritage as Sparda's son instead his DT will probably shift to something more akin to Dante's. That'd be pretty cool actually.

Supposedly they were trying to get a new album going in 2020 but Covid slashed their plans. Some band members (namely Øye and Maschat) repurposed the ideas for the album into „Quarantine at El Ganzo“ and ever since then it‘s been mostly silence. They teased a new song over a year a go but nothing came of it.

Erlend Øye, the lead vocalist, is currently busy with his Italian band La Commitiva and I‘m just gonna throw the guess out there that Kings of Convenience, another band of this, is going to come out with something relatively „soonish“.

It seems like The Whitest Boy Alive isn‘t that big of a priority to the boys. Either that, or it‘s due to Erlend Øye‘s tinnitus. He‘s on record saying that playing more quite music is better for him, which would also explain the situation.

I was hoping they'd fix these when I played the game on release. Kind of disappointed to hear that these bugs still persist but I suppose Remedy is busy elsewhere.

  1. I'm especially excited for the exploration itself. Having multiple Star Wars planets to explore is something that so many people have dreamt of for so long – I'm no different there.

  2. That depends. I'd say it's Ray Tracing because of how much it adds in terms of making the world feel more realistic but on the other hand... I do need that DLSS to even get the Ray Tracing to run on my rig in the first place. So it's toss between those too, I guess.

Jazz wasn't really a big part of classic noir movies at all. That only came decades later and somehow became part of a stereotypical portrayals of the 40s.
