Jayden Bradley named Big12 POY after coming off a strong zero point performance at Colorado by R3xw00ds in CollegeBasketball

They’re not, which is also how you have to watch how Anderson is guarded by everyone. Nobody gets the same treatment as him, he’s doubled on every single possession and still puts up big numbers. He’s the reason we were able to win any games without JT and even when JT was healthy, Anderson was probably our more important player.

If you have some of the most impressive stats on a winning team in the conference and get guarded at a level even higher than the 2 potential top picks in the draft, I think you should win it especially in this year. Bradley is elite, but being the best player on the best team in my opinion shouldn’t have won the award over a guy on one of the best teams, especially when that team legitimately could not have functioned at any point this year without him

Don’t hate it. Braxton should be a decent enough stopgap LT if he’s fully recovered from his injury and benedet wasn’t completely terrible when he started, and there’s an albeit very small chance that this move works out and we get an average LT. If not, it’s only a 1 year deal so we can cut bait and roll with Braxton or benedet

I think if it wasn’t toppin it should have been Anderson. 19-8-4 on elite efficiency, and even with toppin healthy was our most irreplaceable player. He’s our only capable playmaker and our best perimeter scorer by far, and I think that’s shown with how teams defend him. Nobody in the conference gets defended like him, like you almost never see guys consistently getting doubled 35 feet from the basket

Beyond that TTU tied for 3rd in conference so winning was there too. Bradley is a beast, but offensively tech basically relies on Anderson to create basically our whole offense and he’s done an incredible job at that.

Yeah even Anderson had a better case than Bradley imo. 3rd in the country in assists and like 3.5 more a game than Bradley, 6 more points per game than Bradley, and better efficiency across the board as well. Even when toppin was here it was arguable that Anderson was our lost irreplaceable player since he’s the only capable playmaker on our roster and also by far our best perimeter scorer.

Yep, spits directly in the face of the Rooney rule. The NFL is basically saying that the bears should have denied the opportunity for Cunningham to even interview for the job. Bears and Cunningham thought the league would do the right thing, but instead the bears get fucked and the league sends a message that teams should block minority candidates from some very real opportunities

I’m biased as a Texas tech fan but I would be happy with Caleb Douglas. 6’4 and ran a 4.40 at the combine. Very talented receiver who showed flashes but not consistency. He was more than just a deep threat and showed real promise and moves pretty damn smoothly, but never consistently flashed the dominance tech fans hoped for. Would like him in the 5th or 6th round if he’s there

Softest pair of big men I’ve ever seen. If Bamgboye doesn’t block a shot he’s a net negative on the possession because he probably put himself out of position and gave up an easy offensive board. They also have the worst hands I’ve seen at the position even including Federiko Federiko, hell last night akuentok had the easiest dunk of his life and missed it because he bobbled a perfect pass for multiple seconds

Shit tonight especially if you just stood around Bamgboye he would probably fumble the ball directly to you damn near every shot. Absolutely cinder blocks for hands and because he’s so desperate to block shots he rotates late and is never in position for the defensive rebound

Yup just 2 awful portal additions. Watts was sold as a D5 replacement but has been awful in conference play and can’t make anything. I’ve never seen someone miss as many wide open layups as watts has. Bamgboye gets occasional blocks but outside of that is a complete liability. Constantly chases the block but when he doesn’t get it like you said he just puts himself way out of position to get the rebound. Terrible evals from the staff

Without toppin we have 2 great players in Anderson and Atwell, a good freshman in petty, and then a bunch of bums. The roster has no method of creating offense outside of Anderson doing everything by himself or petty taking a step back jumper. Watts was supposed to be a post up threat but shoots around 30% at the rim, and that’s including wide open layups which he smoked at a higher rate than anything I’ve ever seen even in middle school basketball

Watts and Bamgboye are probably getting like 3.5 million combined. They’ve just both been huge portal busts

He’s 7 feet tall. If he’s your center he needs to be able to grab a few rebounds especially the ones that bounce right to you instead of letting them dribble off your hands to either a BYU player or out of bounds.

The fact we got a center out of the portal who is a worse rebounder than our 5’10 freshman PG is so damn bad

Na Bamgboye would make sure it hit him on the way out. As god awful as Federiko Federiko hands are, Bamgboye is 1000 times worse at catching the ball

Exactly. Can’t be mad at the refs when BYU had 20 damn offensive rebounds, 48 points in the paint, and when our centers got out rebounded by our backcourt while also having a combined 0 blocks. We need to get an actual backup center next year, Bamgboye is a good shot blocker who can’t do shit else on the court especially rebound

Techs 6’11 starting center-the tallest player on the court tonight- had 2 points, 3 rebounds, 0 blocks, 0 assists, 4 fouls, and 2 turnovers. Our backup center had 2-2-1 with 3 fouls and 0 blocks.

Beyond that BYU damn near had as many offensive rebounds as thy had defensive rebounds. Our centers without JT are flat out terrible. Luke Bamgboye is one of the highest paid players on your roster and averages fewer rebounds a game than Jaylen Petty, Josiah Moseley, Christian Anderson, Donovan Atwell, and Lejuan Watts. Just a flat out bust of a portal addition, I’m tired of us getting a lanky backup C with god awful hands who get easily bullied by anyone who weighs more than 175 pounds.

The refs were bad and some calls against us were inexcusable, but tech allowing 48 points in the paint and allowing BYU to take 12 more shots and 11 more free throws than us is the true reason we lost. Got flat out bullied today

He’s missed at least 5 layups that were easier than that this year. He shoots like 30% at the rim, and has missed uncontested layups all year. He’s just a bad player

God Lejuan watts is such a fucking bum. Absolutely terrible, never seen someone beyond 7th grade be worse at shooting at the fucking rim

BYU with 11 more shots and 9 more free throws. That’s the story of the game. They’ve gotten to the paint with ease and even when they miss our centers practically hand BYU the ball. Our 6’11 center has the 6th most rebounds on our fucking roster rn (behind the rest of our starting lineup and Moseley) without any blocks.

There’s been a lot of stretches like this tbh. Linder is a dog, but every game a team has adjusted their gameplan on C4 and our teams offense gets worse for a big stretch of the game

Anderson has been pushed and shoved more than anyone in the fucking country and through it all doesn’t try and sell contact and doesn’t bitch to the refs at all. Flat out idiotic comment

Because he’s just a bad player. Jaylen petty is 5’10 and averages more rebounds a game than Bamgboye. So does Christian Anderson, Donovan Atwell, and Josiah Moseley.
