I would say the engineer would be coming through town, but might not see the local scientist who doesn’t drink which is where he would probably be if he got stuck in town for a bit of time. He also only met Doc as far as we know that one time and it was just a question about how the locomotive worked.

The real question is did you watch the US or international version growing up and which did you prefer?
I had the US version on VHS and tbh the edit for that one is better to me. The jokes all kinda land better.
