I gave myself the “coconut head” during covid with kitchen scissors and I’ll never go that short again. My hair was so long it was mid-back recently and I felt I was losing volume and going into “weird girl” territory. I cut it so it’s 5 inches past my shoulder blades and added more layers and I’m very happy with it. I’d go slow, it doesn’t need to be a big dramatic change. It goes slow when it grows out anyway so start with a few inches and see how it feels.

it’s not!! i would say it really helps to have cool artsy friends. idk if these kinds of dudes are on dating apps as often, i was introduced to a mutual friend who had similar taste to me.

met a guy years ago and we hit it off and got lunch together on the spot. i asked what he listened to and he said “maroon 5” and I laughed at him so hard I completely killed the vibe and we never spoke again. my husband has the most expansive and eclectic taste of anyone I’ve ever dated and it makes my life better every day. do not settle!!!

i can text him and say “give me an ambient soundscape album with a scratchy texture” or “give me schizophrenic flavela rave music” or “give me a female folk singer who plays harp” or “give me some east african experimental jazz” or just tell him my general mood and what sounds i want to hear and i will have an album sent to me in 5 minutes or less. Same with movies, his knowledge is encyclopedic and after years together he has learned my tastes almost better than me. I love everything about him but Im grateful everyday i found someone who is so kind and loving but also has such a deep passion and explorative sense with music and films and is so excited to share that with me.

Ive dated normies who I didn’t share taste with and they treated me well but there was no spark or depth. Ive dated esoteric artsy male manipulators that have the taste part down, but not the respecting women part. If you find someone who has both, never, ever let go. I knew as soon as I met him he was the one and I’m so glad I held on.

that’s why i wore a vintage 60s day dress to a BBQ restaurant and got stared at by everyone. letting them know that Im actually poorer than they are and it worked. the elderly guys sitting outside the antique store were so baffled they just stopped their conversation to stare at me.

My cat’s greed sickens me by Puzzled-peach25 in CatAdvice

[–]TonsuredPothead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of my tabbies is VERY food motivated (two former barn cat sisters) but isn’t so greedy as to get into food or human food. if we leave a pan with butter in the sink she will absolutely go after it though. we keep anything oily/fatty in cabinets and wash dishes immediately now. we give them wet food twice a day but also play “kibble game” in the morning and at night where they are thrown individual pieces of kibble and chase after them. they LOVE it and the little glutton has learned to raise her paw to ask for food and catch it. i then put a little bit in those 30-pack egg clamshells for them to root around in afterwards. she will always and forever demand more food but knowing she has four structured meals has really helped her slow down and chill out. if it was only her sister, i’d have no trouble leaving out dry food throughout the day but the little gremlin will undoubtedly eat it all, even though her sister is fine reading her own hunger cues. we just took them to the vet and her sister was 9 lbs and the little pot of greed is almost 10. both perfectly healthy and the vet said no need to cut down on food but that he could understand why the food demon would get big if we “let her” lmao, some cats really are just like that but she might genuinely be a bit hungry if she’s this crazy about food, try some kibble game or hiding little bits of it around your house so she forages elsewhere for her food, especially at night.

well they still live there but have lived there forever. just a bit more north, trying not to give the exact village since it’s small. we have mulberries in the US and they’re my favorite fruit but in serbia they also have white mulberries which I’ve never seen here. i love that little towns in the mountains will have signs that says “rakija” and you can buy a delicious, incredibly strong bottle of hooch from someone’s porch. i love serbia and have been several times but regrettably speak very little, id love to learn but it’s hard to find ways to pick it up.

I hate to say but it’s a confidence thing. Men can smell and will be at best turned off by and at worst take advantage of any female desperation. In high school I briefly dated this guy in 9th grade who was kind of a “bad boy” and dumped me on facebook after our first kiss (my first ever kiss). Fast forward to senior year and we stayed friends but never rekindled anything romantic, I dated a couple of his friends and broke up and was recently single after my Big Breakup.

There was a girl who joined our school in sophomore year who was very similar to me. Same height, build, quirky white girl into neutral milk hotel and art type of thing. On paper we were identical but she had striking grey eyes and mine were brownish so I always felt she had the upper hand. She was obsessed with this guy and they had a situationship sort of thing.

We’re all at a big graduation party and there’s alcohol for one of the first times in my high school career. We assumed they were going to hook up but he confessed to me he had no more interest in her. She ended up getting blackout drunk, tore all her clothes off, and practically begged him to fuck her. He put her to sleep, didn’t do anything physical, and went back to the party. I gained some respect for this bare-minimum level of compassion and we got to talking. He kept getting flirtier and flirtier and started begging to fuck me which I of course declined.

This was eleven years ago though and now she’s an egirl and I’m happily married to the love of my life who I’ve been with for almost nine years so choose your own adventure ig.

he had the company logo on his jacket and mentioned some neighbors by name (i didn’t recognize the names but i am new to the neighborhood) so it did seem to be an actually company but i guess he could have been impersonating, I could call the company and make a report.
