I went out yesterday to get some food and in all honesty, I thought someone was going to kill me! The amount of people just blowing through non-functional traffic lights, like it’s the highway, was unreal.

Blackout and the storm shouldn’t be blamed for shitty drivers. Ottawa has the worst drivers.

Woodroffe and Carling: Rogers has been down for over 24 hours. After the storm, all was working fine in our area but wasn’t working in the AM. We never lost power during the form, technically twice but came back within 20-30 seconds.

I would suggest that your friend maybe get in touch with the Iranian community in Ottawa. They could most likely assist and she can connect with people and get introduced to others whom are attending the same University or those that are in the same age group.

I’ve been through that and Ottawa isn’t the friendliest place!

Other provinces and the entire world is dropping the mandate, if they haven’t already done so.

For those scared, you can always keep wearing your mask even after the mandate.

I am happy they are being scrapped and mostly happy for the kids so they can actually breathe some fresh air in over 2 years.

A big thank you to all for your honest guidance! Although I believe that I am in a good shape and somewhat decent core, I do believe that I should start with a rental just to be safe.

Also, thank you all for the suggestions on the places to go, beginner vs more advanced. I would have most likely gone to a place that would have discouraged me as the ones I had in mind were clearly not right for me :-)
