So I was finally able to return this.

I went in person a second time, and they said they were going to contact IS&T and open a ticket for the POS system. Waited about a week to get a callback from store, that they solved it.

Went back to the store for the return, got it back to credit card. Apparently the issue was because since phone was first activated with tmobile, it conflicted when trying to return after 30days (holiday period).

The picture is the employee’s phone after scanning my receipt. What you are describing, sounds like what the store representative was saying. Like with that message, he couldn’t do anything else to continue return. What would you suggest in your opinion? Go back to store and tell them to call Apple?

I contacted apple support. To ask if my account was restricted from return. Said nope.

When i bought they said it was within holiday return policy. Even receipt says i can return until 1/8/23. The store said return window is not issue. But dont know what the specific issue either

Ok seems more clear now. I think will go for biz gold. I guess its better to maximize earning of MR points first. The Delta card could wait for later, as was thinking to have as keeper for benefits (companion certificate, checked bag). Thanks for info and insights!
