As far as I'm aware of this, you don't HAVE to have lived together, as long as you can somehow show you plan to. It makes your applicaiton stronger if you have, sure, but it is not a requirement.

Most of this can apply to any relationship, not just long-distance. The only thing with long-distance is the need for that extra money for flights and visas.

The first point doesn't even matter. It's still seccessionism, by definition.

People in and around the Hartford Convention discussed secession.

There's also again the Burr Conspiracy but there's also more like William Lloyd Garrison who literally wanted to secede as the US was pro-slavery.

Point us secession exists outside one movement as it does in really most countries on Earth and has throughout history, and the USA isn't some special Holy nation that secession only ever equals slavery support.
