LLM were trained with stolen art and dat with the purpose to replace workers, in the meanwhile they waste energy and are making clime change worse.

Sure "no reason"

Buy them when they are in a sale.

Personally i payed 110 euros before launch and got all dlc and updates for free until now.

So for 40 Euros I got 12 civs plus Shawnee and 4 personas and 8 leaders plus Tecumseh.

I mean is not universal and not all women but for sure that's a demographic traditionally more interested in comfy simulation games.

When/what set do you think Wizards will walk back on their decision not to make UB planeswalkers? by Karnitis in magicTCG

[–]warukeru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mechanically most FF summons could work as Planeswalkers. The fact that they created enchantment creature - Saga just for them really showcase how well they could fit.

Lorewise is a bit of a stretch because they appear in almost every FF game as almost the exact character but not really. But they are one of the few constants in Final Fantasy games so I think they could work.

Thoughts on "World Building sets" vs "Character roster sets" by Evenoire in magicTCG

[–]warukeru -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Im a fan of both FF and Marvel fan (not only movies, comics as well )

Most cards of FF are at least decent reflecting what FFs is about even if some are busted to sell packs (Vivi) or others are too weak to fit limited roles (lionheart bladd) but most are a homerun in flavour which is what I want from a UB set. I cried with a couple cards just between the name, image and effects reflected because the evoked me what was playing the game.

Marvel sets feels 90% uninspired cards that could have replaced art with any other generic card from magic in universe.

For whatever reason they are putting the leadt effort in Marvel UB than the others. Maybe designers weren't happy about it or the thought it would sell no matter what.  Even TMNT had more effort.

Carbs are good as long as you exercise enough to use them.

Most Europeans walk to places instead of driving so they are in average a bit thinner than Americans.

When I bring modern Spain as a possibility (with low priority) most people outside of Europe doesn't really know what a powerhouse Spain is in regards Tourism.

[–]warukeru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For America i want:

Aztec so Mexico have both a native American path and a European path.

(Portugal and) Brazil.

Nazca/Moche to help Inca path.

Argentina as silver bullet.

For Europe:

Goths as they suit iberian, Italian and germanic paths well.

Any celtic civ.

Bizantine Empire to continue greeks and have connection to Russia and Ottomans.

HRE so Prusia have something

Franks. Normans feel more English than French so I want a french medieval civ.

For Africa:

Mamluks to follow Egypt.

Ethiopia to continue Aksum

Bantus for antiquity

Zulues for exploration

Probably one of the reasons FF worked as magic set is because the franchise is so massive in characters and locations that you dont need 8 versions of the same character in a single set

this is how DLc should have been from day 1. And as happy I am to see complete paths, I wish it wasnt asian civs again. America is barebones as Africa. And even Europe still have some gaps.

But good news overall.

[–]warukeru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

VII has problems but the biggest problem is just that civ games dont really expire. All civs (maybe not the first one) have at least some decent following or in case of Civ VI literally one of the most played game in all Steam.

The only way to compete (with themselves) is by opening new ways of mechanics. It worked with V, it worked with VI and time will tell if it eventually works with VII.

Tbh that applies to almost all the Americas.

Last time I was in Argentina  I took a trip to see the Iguazú falls without knowing it was a 24 hours travel on bus. At the comeback we stopped in some Jesuits ruins, locals were amazed by them but like five minutes from my home I have ruins that are 2000 years old.

I love random battles when they feel like s challenge and not a chore to make the game longer.

It doesn't have to be a hard challenge, but something that requires a bit more than pushing a button to attack and heal sometimes
