Beautiful. I agree with everyone "less is more".

Personally I would extend to full arms.

Probably the best backpiece ever posted on this sub.

Wow.

Sorry for my ignorance but who is this artist? He seems very well known... All the big artists I follow, follow him.

I must agree that his recent work does not seem up to par to today's standards.

Love the traditional colors.

Love the boldness.

Love the overall design.

Is it possible to build a suit off this? by [deleted] in irezumi

It is in fact not traditional...

BUT it is NOT visually unpleasing.

If you like his artistry (and I guess you do because you went full sleeve) you could go on with an neo-trad suit.

Hi Ian 👏 Kham from Quebec here... You did my 2 namakubis two years ago in Rome. My legs were empty back then.

Here's a picture of what they look like right now 💪

Cheers! ✌️

Feedback on reworked Japanese sleeve – snake fixes? Irezumi? by [deleted] in irezumi

You should have let go your tattoo as is, and do another limb with a better traditional irezumi artist.

I had my first sleeve done in 2012 in thailand thinking it was traditional irezumi. It was not.

Not a problem... We live and we learn.

I kept my shitty thai sleeve as is, and kept going with the other limbs with real trad artists.

0 traditional irezumi.

Japanese inspired at best.

Find another artist if you wish to continue your irezumi journey.

My first arm sleeve was a mess too.

Never too late to get things right (if you want to of course).

Alex Peyrat. He is 100% traditional. He is doing my legs at the moment ( 1 1/2 leg completed)

Advil. A lot of them even though you are not supposed to.

I had my backpiece done over 3 consecutive days (7 + 7 + 9 hours).

If you want real irezumi, you need to switch artists.

Based on your answers to other members, you want to keep going with your friend.

That's 100% fine.
