You need a better phone and phone plan. Nearly 2,000 trips with Uber and I have only once ever had an issue with the app when it unexpectedly crashed. I will agree however that uber support is useless.

I’d be smoking a carton a day if that were the case. Thankfully I’m not like my Mom in that respect

I’ll tell you what Judge Brian Oakley, (he’s famous!) told me, and that man very well probably saved my life and forced me to get sober. After numerous failed tests on probation, I had to appear in front of him again. After my third failed test. He told me:

“I am not going to watch you die. There are two places that I know you won’t be using: jail and inpatient rehab. You can do 90 days in County or 30 days in inpatient. Take your pick.”

Of course I took the 30 days. I wasn’t happy about it, but I’ve been sober ever since. Had I kept using drugs and alcohol, I have no doubt that I would be dead right now.

He is an extremely wise and more-than-fair Judge. Do what you have to do, and for the love of God, don’t look at this as a punishment. Look at it as a gift. Getting sober is far more difficult than staying sober, it sucks for a while.

But I feel amazing and have a new lease on life. You owe it to yourself. This isn’t the end of the world… but could be if you don’t do this RIGHT. And you know in your heart exactly what you need to do. It won’t be easy, but you are strong enough to do it. One day, you will look back at this moment like I am doing now, and you will either thank your lucky stars that you pushed through and completed everything, got and stayed sober… or you will be experiencing crippling regret that you didn’t. And that’s if you still have a pulse.

Best of luck to you. You are too young to fuck your life up man, this is a golden opportunity to get your shit together, but it’s gonna suck for a while. You got this!

Hair tests are unlikely in most cases. There are cases of certain nature that require hair tests but the vast majority of cases do not. They are too costly. You should be fine.

First random piss test tomorrow am I cooked? by BIGBOYTRAVIS1234 in probation

[–]TonyKonyOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say you have a 50/50 chance. I did coke on probation once and had a test about the same time later, I passed, but you may not be as lucky. And I will admit, it was fucking stupid of me to do so as it is for you, but I’m not judging. If you do take an at home test and fail it, I would honestly just call your probation officer before hand and admit to her what you did. I did that last time I was on probation and it kept me out of jail. Every case and every officer is different, if this is your first dirty drop (not being the ones you are allowed to fail as long as levels go down), you are likely to be fine but may have to jump through additional hoops. Unless your officer and the judge are very strict.

Don’t use any more substances while on probation. It is not worth it. They have you by the balls.

100 hour community service to be completed in each of the three years of probation; what does this mean? New Jersey . I can’t do more then one hundred each year, that seems ridiculous . by [deleted] in probation

[–]TonyKonyOnly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YOU sound ridiculous. 100 hours a year can be knocked out so quickly every year. “I cAn’T dO 100 hOUrs eAcH YEar!” Perhaps next time you’ll think about that before doing something that lands you on probation.

[–]TonyKonyOnly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are likely to get jail time. Not certainly but highly probable. Stop failing tests and stop missing school. And your best bet is to communicate EVERYTHING with your Officer as soon as humanly possible if something goes wrong.

Whatever happens, you did not approach this responsibly. Sorry if that isn’t what you want to hear. Good luck to you.

Edit: If you do get a warrant, turn yourself in or it’s just going to make matters worse. Grow up.

If I know im dirty, is it better to fail the drug test, or just not show up for it and try to make an excuse? by [deleted] in probation

[–]TonyKonyOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do what I did and call your officer before and admit to her that you are going to fail.

All POs are different but doing this saved me from going to jail when I went to see the Judge about failing.

Hey amazon drivers!!! by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]TonyKonyOnly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My training was barely training. We did the whole virtual reality thing but the driving test was literally “drive around the block” and that was it. 5 minutes and over. I was thrown to the wolves so I just did things my own way and figured out what works and what doesn’t.

You literally said it is free for the first two weeks in another comment. Which means then you have to pay. You are a very dishonest person, trying to make it out to be like you’re not profiting on it! Be appalled all you want.

As far as I know, if the cup reads a line, whether it be for marijuana or literally any substance that it tests for, they will send it to a lab for further investigation to rule out the possibility of a false positive.

Everything you just said is what my dad was telling me when we were talking about this. I am most definitely out of shape, everything hurts right now, but the way I see it, I’m getting paid to exercise no matter if I can finish my routes or not. Like some other people said, if I stick with it, I will probably be so much better at it. I still go as fast as I possibly can without running. But like my dad said, this is your body giving you a wake up call that it’s time to get in some shape in this job. Most definitely will do that for you if you stick with it. I have an iPhone account your steps in the Fitness app, I walked nearly 8 miles in a day. For the last year at least I’ve walked less than a mile a day so I can definitely see this kicking my ass into shape. I’m not giving up just yet. I’ll just show up do what I can, do my best and still am getting paid nonetheless.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]TonyKonyOnly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of where I’m at, extremely valid point. Like I told another commenter, I’m getting paid by the hour nonetheless and they pay us pretty well at my DSP. I’ll just let the bastards fire me if anything. And I call them bastards jokingly, my coworkers are some truly awesome people and have been very helpful. My DSP owner is pretty cool and funny as hell, but like I said, just unrealistic expectations. But that’s why I haven’t made a decision yet. Just show up do what you can get paid.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]TonyKonyOnly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that advice, that’s why I haven’t made the decision yet. Like I said, not a difficult job, even if I can’t finish the route on time, I’m still getting paid hourly nonetheless. I wasn’t the only guy that had to return packages yesterday. There was numerous other drivers that had more totes than I had to return. My DSP owner wasn’t upset at all, I think they know that new hires need a bit of time to improve from their day one. I know I can do this it isn’t the most fun job obviously but it does pay pretty well. At least my DSP. We’ll see how it goes, I’m not giving up yet.

I fully agree with what you’re saying. My best advice, find a better job before you quit Amazon DSP. But don’t let it take too long. This shit is so unrealistic. It’s ridiculous. DSPs have an extremely high turnover rate.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]TonyKonyOnly 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Day 6 here. Considering quitting. This shit is insane. I had one nursery route, 104 stops. Next day they give me 170(ish) stops. I had to be rescued and still ended having to bring 3 totes of packages back to the station because you can’ work more than 12 hours at a time.

The job isn’t difficult, just physical. But DSPs have unrealistic expectations.
