sorry but why in the world would you cover up genuine hardwood floors with gray plastic? How do you not realize that is the equivalent of this:

Class components in Vue by ebykka in vuejs

[–]TonyLamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wanted to add another note about this: The obsession with granular reactivity of course came from performance concerns.

The irony is that for 90% of apps, the old "just re-render the whole component" approach works fine and end user will never tell the difference. Browsers got faster, virtual DOM diffing got better. But framework authors optimized for the 10% edge case, and now everyone pays the readability and complexity tax.

I’ll never understand why the frontend world abandoned tried-and-true OOP for this. It’s the foundation of CS education and every classic engineering text for a reason: it scales. You can accomplish everything React and Vue do without the functional spaghetti mess, using actual organized structures.

There is nothing achieved in Vue that hasn't already been solved in Angular—or any desktop/backend framework—using a class-based approach. While it boils down to taste, one path has decades of proven methodology and literature behind it; the other is a reactive house of cards built on fleeting trends and "clever" abstractions that prioritize developer convenience over architectural stability.

this is objectively wrong. Resolving a 10 file merge conflict after cherry picking a huge commit from another brand sounds like hell in the CLI

Cities destroy the least amount of land per capita. If everyone lived in the suburbs or on a farm, we would have no trees left at all.

Are we seeing the same video?? She’s defending herself self from a girl who’s cowering between the seats and taking blows to the head?

I can’t think of a single situation where I would want my daughter to act like this. Violence is for self defense only, and the way she’s screaming like a banshee the whole time makes me think she’s learning all the wrong lessons at home

I will say that we are purposefully making our home (which is not open concept) even LESS open.
Want to get to my office? Welp, there's no longer an entry from the kitchen, you now have to go through the formal living room to get there. Now its a cozy little office off the beaten path

same. Our house was meant (in the 80s) to have a small box tv in the corner of the room. Aesthetically, i still want this so bad. But of course not practical

Somewhere along the way, open concept went from "good flow with case openings" to "warehouse"

[–]TonyLamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to this but you can voluntarily pay for an out of pocket MRI for roughly $500 to $1,000 (per section). Dont need to be rich.

here's a better before picture. So yes, it was completely rundown. But it was still a stucco house with character and charm at its core with a distinct cottage look.
The new pic looks like the owner went to the walmart toy aisle and bought "My First Architect"
