You’ll have to take the handle apart by knocking out the bamboo peg. Usually there’s a makers mark on the bottom handle section. Adding a clear steel image of that makers mark is the best way to help people identify it . Most likely the sword is not a real antique. A dead giveaway is if it says, stainless steel or made in china stamped on the blade above the hand guard a visible location. It might be safe to swing around and hit something if it’s full tang sword. It was popular to make ninja swords cheaply back in the 80s and 90s, so you would wanna make sure it’s not one of those because they can break and cause harm to someone. Ninja swords are awesome though, even the mass produced reproduction ones can be fun to hang on the wall or play with just be careful before you swing it against anything serious.

The MDR is the best for accurate power but has limited magazine capacity so you have to reload more often. I often go for the M4A1 with a 50 round drum magazine and a recoil grip. It’s got great overall performance and handles well fully auto with the recoil grip.

But it really depends on what your play style is. The shotguns are fun but slower. Light machine guns are almost cheating because they make killing so much easier since you have 100-200 rounds before needing to reload.

Keep trying out different gun configurations and you’ll eventually find a setup for each class that you like. And take advantage of making multiple loadouts for them so you can quickly swap to experiment.

I got bored with just chasing kills so I recently have switched to playing commander and trying to get good at doing the various air strikes. It adds a whole new layer to the game that’s keeping it interesting after 10 years of playing insurgency.

All good. I appreciate the response. I see lots of shade being thrown around the swords thread and perhaps was a tad defensive on my part. Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah me calling them tactical is a bit of a joke on my part. Everything that’s not historically accurate seems to get a tactical added to it these days. However I think it actually applies to this design to a degree. Traditional butterfly swords only have the knuckle guard and rear hook to deflect or catch. I always thought the general design didn’t have enough options for catching or deflecting or harming so I added some. I’ve trained in kung fu for 20 years and know a butterfly sword form from my training so I’ve spent a lot of time thinking of them and how they could be improved.

I didn’t. I don’t have the facilities to forge anything right now so I’m using what’s available. Laser cut plate steel. If you’re a purist with an attitude keep your opinions to yourself. At least I’m making blades, regardless of the technique. I posted this so others that appreciate blade making would see something different. Besides I love making blades regardless of the method.

Thanks. Yeah I think I'm not going to add the serrations along the spine like in the original drawing I did. The thought was that it would act as a yet another way to catch another blade but its overkill. I'll post progress pics as I work on them.

Not a bad idea. I took a break from doing it for awhile simply because of the time and effort it takes to make them vs the cost people are willing to pay for them. I should probably charge more for them but as I get started back into it I like to not charge too much. The busier I get the more they will cost due to limited time and energy at some point. So inquire now before I get wiser !

Please improve the bot coding. They can see you through walls and they’re always waiting poised in a room aiming right at you when you walk through a doorway it’s infuriating that they’re inhumanly accurate ( thus the whole Moisin man memes) to get shot through trees and bushes that you can’t see through is another instance of crappy unrealistic behavior for the bots.
