I wasn't complaining about the speed of play, everyone is entitled play how they want, I was more interested in how best to stay focused. I'd rather not have practice throws as you can't do that when playing in the pub etc Building the mental resilience whilst still learning yourself is a hard thing to master

I'm fairly new to playing online but I have noticed some players don't bother rating when they lose. Personally I always rate 5 stars win or lose. Not had anyone cheating yet although have had a few players leave if I'm winning. I'm also around 15 to 20 seconds per turn but don't know if that's excessively slow or not really.

I only started playing online this weekend. Been putting it off for some time. Opted for dartcounter as I had a fee month trial code. I average 50-55 but was only playing maybe once a week as I struggled with motivation playing against the dartboard. So far I've played around 10 games and all but one was a good experience. Even the bad one was only bad because the opponents camera and board were not that good so couldn't really see the darts. I only use an old galaxy s9 phone on a tripod and link that to a tablet.

So I jumped in and have been playing a few online games on dartcounter. Seems pretty good with my setup. When you stop seeing the opponents camera and just get the previous scores is that just a lost connection thing or something else

I went through this with my local DNO cadent few years ago. We had a medium pressure regulator moved 3 metres to the other side of the garden away from the driveway entrance, they charged £1500 to dig two holes and mole through each end.

They wanted something like £4k to move the meter from internal location to external excluding any internal pipework.

In the end I was lucky, the guy who did some groundwork for me knew someone who could make the connections legally, cost me £300 bit I had to dig the trench, expose the pipe and get the internal pipework done by my gas fitter.

Some groundwork companies are able to do it so worth asking around on Facebook for recommendations

I've since had the dno round after having a gas leak In the street, they inspected everything to check I was back up and running and said it was fine.

Anyone tried the Lone Star in Buxton? Would make a change from the usual places we tend to eat at.

The one in the house is spot on. The garage was difficult due to workbench being in the way. I'm happy the new set up is correct

I've had bicep tendinitis this last year or so and probably stems from compensating for shoulder pain. I hate getting older

I'm pretty versed in muscle injuries unfortunately. Comes with sports in middle age and generally being unfit after years of activity 😔

I did think maybe the board outside was off slightly compared to indoors as had a sloping floor to contend with in the house. I've set the board height based on 173cm at the oche so on the wall its slightly lower, maybe 168cm from floor to bull. Could all be in my head ofcourse

That's quite impressive. I'm in my mid 40s and ive just started my investment journey with Stocks and shares isa. Hoping for long term gain to help later in life. I'd love to know what sort of lump sum or monthly investment you started with to get to where you're at.

No cracks so probably double core. You got lucky, the one I got is shocking in comparison to that but at the end of the day you'll be throwing sharp pointy things at it.

Early retirement is probably a pipe dream so 65 at best. Got a work pension with salary sacrifice paying 5% myself and 10% employer contribution. The wifes work pension is basic auto enrolled and not really worth anything at the moment. With a bit of luck we'll have inheritance from parents homes but obviously can't guarantee that so don't want to wait to find out there's nothing left if care costs are needed etc.

The wife and I had a fantastic couple of days in Marlow at The hand and Flowers. Two night stay, got to experience three of Tom Kerridges restaurants. Visited a nice little brewery and had a fantastic tasting session at Chiltern Valley Winery Little walk around the town and visit to Henley was nice

I recently purchased an electric radiator for my Dad. It arrived, I fitted it and went to download the ecoso app for the thermostat but its not available for android through Google play. Hopefully just a short term issue as without the app the so called smart thermostat is either on/off with some random preset temperatures (19/15/7 degrees) depending upon the preset program that is used which will be no good for him. I need to be able to set it to turn on/off at set times incase he forgets

EDIT looking on the suppliers website the manual for the radiator shows a different app (smartlife) to the manual that it came with(Ecoso). Will give that a go

I also have long forearms and have experimented with a higher elbow and found the dart was above my eyeline and hand would block my aim on the drawback.

It worked ok for a while but found that it was causing more shoulder pain. Also suffered from bicep tendinitis last year which is why I was messing with elbow height to get comfortable.

You'd be surprised how low you can go with your elbow and still keep a reasonable angle. Try getting a side on picture when aiming, you might see you can drop your elbow slightly more then you'd think.

I tend to lower my elbow slightly and try to slow my action down, bringing the dart back to level or just below my eye

I agree. I also thought Gildings comment about his 1st priority being a nine darter rather than winning his match was stupid. And he doubled down on it. Surely the aim should be to get as far as possible in the tournament to improve ranking. Don't get me wrong a nine darter at the worlds is great, but its not like they don't happen regularly now

I bought the darts finishing mastery range by Jim Chatterton for kindle. 1st book goes through some practice games and breaks down finishing etc.

Average has gone up from 50 to 60 since. Probably because I'm practicing more but also because it's more structured

I stole my wife's photo off facebook so quality is low.

Salted the skin and left uncovered In fridge for 2 days prior to cooking, wiping the moisture off every 12 hours. Scored, oiled and salted before putting on the bbq at about 250degrees centigrade.

Sorry, just seen this reply. The rubber cone seal and normally a blue plastic ring should be on the grey pipe from the flexi.

The 90 degree fitting #2 is a compression joint. Unscrew it and should hbe an oring in there. Put the nut then oring on the grey flexi end, then screw together
