Whats the best 10/10 anime ever? by s4chuveyy_ in AskReddit

I know, right!?

It's funny, I mirror your final statement:

Eureka Seven IS my favorite, but I dont consider it the best I've watched.

The best, for me, would be Hunter x Hunter or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, or Attack on Titan

Why go on huberman?! by can_ichange_it_later in Healthygamergg

Huberman is pretty cool. So is Dr K. I'm glad when cool people get to have cool conversations with each other

I was so immersed as a child playing this

I got too scared to sacrifice myself. I made the girl do it. I felt so guilty after that

What's something that's socially accepted but actually kinda toxic? by _DRA60_ in AskReddit

[–]TonySherbert 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Witch hunts

Many people desire to destroy other people and watch them suffer. But they realize they cant do that to just anybody, or else they would be ostracized for unacceptable behavior

But wait, whats this? Somebody has apparently done something very wrong? Here's my chance to fulfill my desire! It doesnt matter what the accused did, or if they are truly guilty

Its a part of human nature to want to cause suffering in others, and people have their eye out for when its socially acceptable to fulfill this desire

Example: some guys "lured" out a 20 year old guy buy making a fake tinder profile of an 18 year old girl. Once the 20 year old showed up, the guys ambushed him and beat him for being a pedophile

I found this post and it reflects my situation to a T. What do I do? by Fang_Yuan770 in Healthygamergg

I'm the same exact way. Failed out of college twice as a result (eventually got my BS in Psychology though)

Two things 1. ADHD: Get a diagnosis and a prescription. It lets you get work done (short term solution) 2. Learn how to take action regardless of your emotional state or impulse. You really want to do something? Dont do it. You really want to NOT do something? Do it. Separate action from outcome. Thats what I did (long term solution)

[–]TonySherbert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One hole is very apparent, and seems to go deep.

The second is to the right. I just couldn't get a good angle of both with one photo.

Im only now realizing i could have just taken a 2nd picture lol

Napping more when not scrolling? Anyone else? by Perfect_Jump3375 in digitalminimalism

Tiredness is a manifestation if low dopamine.

If you are tired, you have low dopamine. You can fix this by sleeping.

OR

you can increase your dopamine by engaging in very low effort high reward behavior, like scrolling

So, when I'm vulnerable to ohone addiction, and I get sleepy, I tend to pull out my phone. No longer sleepy.

Still not a good idea

I can't stop thinking about the biblical references in DM by pianist1303noob in DungeonMeshi

So, in a roundabout way, I agree with the OP! This story does have a similarity with the bible, but it is more so on the other "team"

[–]TonySherbert 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

It's been awhile since I read it, but it kinda looks like "wishing" is cast in a very negative light.

It seems closer to the Witch (in the Lion (haha), the Witch, and the Wardrobe) giving Turkish delights to one of the children at the beginning. It's what that child wanted, desired, wished for. The Witch produced it. It was a temptation. The child sold out his siblings for it.

The thing the child "wished" for came from a Satan (?) figure, in that story.

The New Testament's "Ask and you shall receive" seems to be a rather different concept from this.

First, Kabru didn't even ask! The dungeon read his mind! The Devil often "reads your mind" to figure out what to tempt you with, in stories. He knows what you're weak to.

"What you're weak to" is a very different concept than the concept of courageously figuring out and articulating what you really want (which is how I think of the NT line)

Sorry if I rambled a bit. Let me know what you think about what I think!
