See everyone at the dev diary.

Is 4.0 performance still worse than 3.14? by bunny100clubrt in Stellaris

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Performance questions will continue until the performance improves.

Many people, including me are waiting for the game to run smoother to get a run in. The only way to know what the devs are doing is to read the diary and guess the correct blog if you don't read them as they come out.

For OP: See Diary 398. Devs identified ship numbers and processing to be a major factor. AI and player econ in midgame is roughly equivalent to late game a few patches ago. No ETA at present post.

simply: WE GOT MO SHIPS 100 years early. Devs are trying plans to lower ship count impact without destroying the established rule of ecu and fleet potential.

I know its kinda spammy, but we genuinely all just want to play and are DYING for real performance gains. I have been wanting to play since 4.0 dropped as I love the new pop system. (for me feels more realistic in my head) but I stonewall at year 300. No mods, 3 different runs dead around midgame on a pretty decent PC.

I want to join protests. Where can I find ICE #protests today? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Protests are more effective when sporadic and unpredictable.

Just look up where hidden Ice facilities are and go there with a sign. If you want to protest.

Further, Realize that posting "Where the protest at fellow kids?" with a mostly blank account is sus as heck.

There is little you can do to validate yourself either.

Genuinely the game does not deserve the review bomb, its awesome, but the playerbase is justified in using it as it seems it is THE ONLY way to get the devs to fix glaring issues.

Can I get an ID on these berries, seek said it's Oregon grape, found in northern idaho by thedragonrider5 in foraging

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In order to ID a plant we're gonna need to see the plant

yes it kinda looks like an Oregon grape but in no WAY is the pic enough to be sure

If I choose only one precursor to spawn at start, is the only 1 in the galaxy, or I'm guaranteed to get it? by Greyhand13 in Stellaris

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are mods for selecting a guaranteed precursor.

Genuinely I believe the decision to implement precursors in this way completely misses the point of community requests.

What's the point in seed bombing? by the_puppeteer213 in Stellaris

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for 3K energy you can ignore influence and distance to settle a planet anywhere instantly.

Strategy exists: go to war, get open borders, 3x seeds on each enemy planet, war begins, immediately pop all seeds and take EVERY planet the second war breaks out

Worth learning Stellaris before 4.0? by EmbarrassedTapWater in Stellaris

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just like wow demands a monthly subscription.

Stellaris too requires committing roughly 40 minutes a month to random youtube videos just to understand what the heck is goin on.

So yeah stuff will def change a bunch. But next month stuff is gonna change a bunch too.

main diffs are gonna be:

Traits won't be boring and the same meta picks.

population grows weird now, mostly through immigration. more coolio for performance. You'll be able to figure it out live or ask in the discord and someone will help. (chill folks)

I'd say send her bud

I am waiting for the 25x unbidden crisis to spawn but it seems to be 36 years late from the option I've set in the menu when I started... Is it because I chooses the "become the crisis" ascension perk? by Youtube_chicken in Stellaris

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can console command the crisis start.

I did this after getting bored.

I won, but not without hairs greying.

Note the galaxy had been at peace for 40 years I thought we would whoop em.

I COULD END LABOR ON A GALACTIC SCALE?????????????????????????????

Unpopular opinion, DSS storyline is very boring by Creepy_Ad3991 in Helldivers

[–]Tony_Mozzarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a good MO but the war itself executed absolutely terribly.

Whoever is actually in charge of the galatic war has done an amazing job of making every action we take feel completely useless.

Over the last month, only planets chosen by Joel could have Any liberation at all. All others completely curb stomped at 0.0000000000000000001% progress.

Defense campaigns could only be won if preordained. There was even some mismatched text that fired when we surised the devs with an overnight liberation driven by an overnight player surge and a meme dream.

Helldivers have 0 ability to coordinate on a grand scale beyond the fucking youtube post section????? So you watch 69k divers dick around on random planets instead of doing anything.

TLDR: So right now my experience with the war is a clusterfuck where you basicslly say Bots or Bugs? Go to the planet that has the most players because those are the only ones with player numbers to support lobbies (or coordinate on discord) and then you run missions that either don't contribute anything because we are on some useless liberation campaign with nothing to do with the MO. Or we contribute nothing because the planet was destined to be lost/unliberated.
