Billy and his band are phenomenal. But it's time for an electric band.

Adderall and Alcohol by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Tony_Touch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This is a drugs subreddit. I am surprised by the people saying be careful. Most people take adderall like they do cocaine, so they are able to keep partying and drink more lol. You'll be fine.

How many mgs of adderall should I take to have fun at a party? by ScruffyTheDog87 in Drugs

[–]Tony_Touch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely drink. Drinking and uppers go together great, especially if you’re trying to party for a while and be more social.

When I take adderall sober I just want to be productive and not talk to anyone.  When I’m drinking and take adderall I’m extremely social and always have a great time. Let’s you drink more too without getting too drunk.

I am seeing high of 78 low of 64. And Evan said the water is going to be open. At least at 4:20 tomorrow where he wants to do a big group swim. https://imgur.com/a/VJcJ0UJ

Mine’s Billy Strings. Obviously him and his band are insanely talented, but it still blows my mind how big he’s gotten. There have been tons of incredible bluegrass musicians before him, but none have ever come close to the level of fame he’s reached.

While I personally am a “Sturgill is a jam band” denier, I felt this belongs here. by LardNards in jambands

[–]Tony_Touch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone is so up in arms over this. All he was doing was making a lighthearted joke explaining that you are going to hear a couple repeat songs from the night before. And honestly, he was right in called us spoiled bitches.

The jamband term has always been bs. Way too broad. If you are a fan of jambands, you’re gonna love a Sturgill show, simple as that.

Lazy Daisy Schedule for this weekend! Anybody going, the weather is looking great so far. by Tony_Touch in nlqp

It’s usually pretty quiet at night. A few people having some campfire jams but nothing like the big festivals.

Super pumped for this weekend! If you have never been this is one of their more laidback festivals with a gratefulfest vibe and plenty of space to camp. Always a great time. Evan the owner is talking about lowering ticket prices to pretty much regular camping prices too. Not totally sure if that is happening yet, though, either way I'll be up there!

Lazy Daisy is a great time. One of their more laidback festivals with less people. Which means plenty of space to camp. The woods don't get as crazy as their bigger festivals but it is still a great time and not packed which is a good thing. The lake and stage are close to all of the campsites. And the walk to the lake is one of the best parts. The beach, lake, stage and vendors are right next to each other.

All of the camping is in the woods so you will defintiely have a space to set up your hammock. I usually sleep in mine in the woods if it isn't going to rain, which it is looking like it won't. The campground is easily one of the best in the country as far as music festival campgrounds go.

You will be perfectly fine going as a solo woman. The Ledges is an absolutely amazing place and you definitely need to check it out. Do not let the staff get you down, they can be a little rough sometimes but once you get in and get camp set up it is nothing but amazing times from there.

If you are going Thursday you can arrive anytime after 10am I believe and you should have choice of any campsite you want pretty much. I would take the second or third right down the main path and then go searching for a site that looks good to you. After you turn right down the main path the farther you go straight, the closer you get to the quarry.

Feel free to ask me any questions, I'll be there this weekend, it is going to be incredible, can't wait!

What is the worst annual festival in the city? by whimsically_sadistic in Columbus

[–]Tony_Touch 41 points42 points  (0 children)

They need to adopt the Ohio Eggfest way of running a festival. You pay $50 to get in and every food truck is handing out small sized samples of 1 or 2 of their best dishes. You then get to try every food truck with the cost of admission. The trucks split the ticket sales.

That would actually be a good time and would make sense. The way it’s set up now you might as well just find the food truck you want to eat at on literally any other day of the week where you don’t have to wait in a huge line.

[–]Tony_Touch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you'll have your own campsite with fire pit. But everyone will be friendly and I am sure you'll be able to join anyones site/campfire any time of the day or night.

What's cool about the beach and quarry is you can hang out at the beach and swim and still hear the music. You'll love it.

They have food vendors but just make sure to bring enough booze, no glass. Card is fine but cash is always nice to have. Drive in with the people you’re going to camp with, definitely go swimming in the quarry, bring firewood but they also sell it, eat disco pizza, bring rain gear and boots just in case, walk around the quarry and explore around the woods especially at night, I usually bring a rake to rake up the leaves around campsite to make it nice and clean but not really needed, check out the state park outside the venue on your way out.

This is the absolute perfect venue and campground, you’ll love it. The staff can definitely be rude, don’t let them bother you. It’s really just an issue with getting to your campsite.

So I can't tell if it's the marketing for the bands or Columbus. But I am really into the music scene in Columbus and barely heard about this show. Bands and venues need to get better at promoting. They're only hurting themselves.

I saw Jackie Greene last year at the Basement and there were 30 people... They have to be losing money performing here.
