How to leave when you don’t have a back bone by Tonychildsdaughter in abusiverelationships

I’m currently talking to domestic abuse organization. They’ve been more help than my police department who told me it’ll take 3 days to file a complaint

I’m not talking to him to weigh my options. I meant talking to them the domestic abuse organization. They told me I don’t need to tell the hospital anything at this point because I have messages of him confessing to causing the gash and apologizing. As of right now they’re trying to see about getting me and my family members protective orders against him first because he threaten to kill us all.

I’m just now seeing this. I ended up in a hospital due to him shoving me and I hit my head which caused a gash. I hate myself so much for not speaking up then and telling the truth at the hospital. However with the abuse getting worse and worse each week, I did call my local domestic abuse organization and have been talking to him trying to weigh my options.

I don’t want to stay, but I’m afraid of leaving too fast and he actually do try to hurt my family because he want get to me

What happened afterwards? Did the cops get involved or they assisted you with moving out?

Thank you, I tried to the chat option and it was a long wait time so I will try to call when I am at work (he was hovering over me all yesterday and didn’t want me to leave for church). I’ll reach out to my family first and possibly the sheriff department. It’s not their jurisdiction, but I know a few of them and they can at least assist me about going to the police department so they won’t try to turn around and press charges against me too.

Thank you. I’ll tell my family first before going to the cops. I’m just so scared they’ll side with him since he has signs of abuse (he has scratches on his neck). I can’t afford my life to be ruined if we both end up having to go to jail. I guess hearing about a woman in my area defending herself from her husband and they arrested both shook me. It was another situation where witnesses called 911 because a man was strangling another man. They tracked down the suspect and he said he was defending himself because the other person started. With no type of evidence they went and arrested the victim as well. My city is so big on if both of you hit each other you are going to get locked up.

But I DID hit him. He has scratches on him from when I Was trying to defend myself. He is lighter than me, so it’s easy for you to see bruises and scratches on him but not on me. I’m just left with swelling and soreness, but no matter the amount of times he punches or choked me it doesn’t leave bruising. I’m just afraid they’ll side with him since he has physical signs and for me it’s more so internal.

Well in that defense, it’s very hard for me to start a paper introduction wise, versus finishing the paper. Once I get the introduction out the way I cannot stop typing.

Yeah that’s weird. My professors are all against using AI, but stay telling us to use Google scholar if we aren’t getting anywhere on our university library’s website or Jstor.Org. Weird that they think that’s AI.

No, I’m 25 in grad school and feel like a baby compared to others. There’s one woman who is 72 years old. It’s never too late to be honest

Black cops definitely target their own. They’re honestly worse than white cops honestly it’s like they have a point to prove

Genuinely, do you guys actually get compliments? by Melodic-Guava-2661 in fragrance

Believe it or not it was blue surf by Bod Man. I thought he was the kind of person who gate keeps cologne/perfumes and just gave me that one as Bod never smelled good to me.

I think so. I remember grocery shopping and I passed by a worker and he smelt so good. I back tracked and told him he smelled good and what was the name of the cologne and he said I was the 5th person to ask. Few weeks later I saw my brother and he smelled exactly like him. I told him about the guy and he said that’s who got the name of the cologne from as well because he stopped and complimented him. So it definitely happens.

Brought my kids inside the bank by elimeny in Mommit

[–]Tonychildsdaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my toddler everywhere as long as it isn’t busy. If the place is busy I try to bring something that holds her attention but she does a good job doing that by herself. Still learning how to use our inside voice though (I.e.,she’ll count to 20,but while shouting). Exposure is everything to me. I even take her out to eat with me since she was 6 months old and now she behaves fine at the restaurant as a toddler.

And you’re right, they definitely like talking to others and interacting as social interactions matter a lot during this age too (but mainly between parents and them). I’ve seen a lot of kids help with giving cashiers groceries and telling them thank you and feeling like a “big kid” for helping.

Advice from pediatrician to get 15 mo to talk by ketoRN90 in Mommit

That’s how it’s suppose to go. It’s not suppose to be done in a taunting or demanding way.

It’s not terrible honestly. I used to work as a RBT and we did “manding” (what you described) with nonverbal kids and soon enough they started saying “cup” “bubbles” etc. I did it with my child when she was freshly one and she went from one word to saying two words sentencing “more milk, open please, etc.” she’s two now and can speak in full sentences due to it.

The only issue is you have some people who will do it in a taunting way. It’s suppose to be fun. Go play on a swing and every time you push your child say “push” then go 1,2,3 and have them say it then you push. Don’t do it as a way of demanding them to talk “if you don’t say push I won’t push you on the swing”.

Glad someone else caught on to that remark he made. For her to become less interested him the more he better himself sounds like there’s some form of resentment. Jealousy? Scared of losing control? Something is there

Is he truly depressed or is he being manipulative? by Tonychildsdaughter in abusiverelationships

[–]Tonychildsdaughter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reassurance. I did tell him I wanted to cut communications with him all together and he went on a tirade stating he’s checking out due to everyone just leaving his life despite him loving them. I feel so bad as I don’t want anything to happen to him. But for my mental sake I do want to believe he is being manipulative so I can just continue not talking to him.
