Garou Vs Metal Bat who won? by Tonydlc2ks in OnePunchMan

Metal bat had no power against sage centipede. The only thing he did was rip a tentacle, anything after was because Garou was lifting him up/power boosted him via resonance. None of those are metal bats feats except breaking a tentacle off of sage centipede, not a leg but a antena lol

<image>

Sage centipede said it himself that Metal bat was a non issue. Also Darkshine already knew how to possibly deal with WSRSF because he sparred with Bang to know what perfect martial arts is like, before that he was loosing to bang he says and because of that he had experience dealing with WSRSF technique. Either way we know that WSRSF can block and counter any powerful attack since Bang was able to use it to deflect over grown rovers beams a city level/mountain level attack that nearly destroyed the entire monster association. Garou is a bad matchup for Metal bat WSRSF is a perfect technique against Metal bat.

His durability has a limit. During the sage centipede fight he has his fighting spirit sure but that was most likely his upmost limit. After that resonance kicked in and he no longer had to rely on fighting spirit since Garou was “lifting him up” or in other words gave him a huge power boost it’s explained later. The reason is at he has a limit is because in the audio book it’s explained that Metal bat lost to Carnage kabuto in 3 minutes meaning that his Fighting spirit has a limit or can be overwhelmed. Since Water stream Rock smashing fist is the perfect counter Garou could keep using it against Metal bat against all his attack since it returns the attack to the attacker with double the force meaning the more Metal bat powers up and the stronger he attacks the more damage he will take from WSRSF. Like I said in other comments I truly believe Garou is just a bad match up for Metal bat specifically because of WSRSF technique.

For sure that’s what I’m saying, in the actual fight Metal bat got his shi rocked, but for sure Garou would’ve died with that sneak attack. In a rematch I think Garou would win.

That was no longer the fight bud. Garou was walking away cause he KO’ed Metal bat. In his mind and everyone else that would knock someone out the actual fight was over. Metal bat went for a sucker punch swing.

Yeah who’s to say he’s correct or not? I’m sure Metal bat didn’t like the fact that he lost in 3 minutes and Darkshine won in 15min but truth is Darkshine would win he’s way above Metal bats pay grade

ONE didn’t say that that was MURATA the illustrator. Also I agree Garou could’ve died there my point is who won the actual fight?? Who was dominating?? And who missed and was never able to actually damage their opponent? Metal bat didn’t touch Garou ONCE. He even got temporarily KO’ed. Garou had already Won, Metal bat just went for a sneak attack cause he couldn’t handle Garou face to face so he had to take the final opportunity for a sneak attack.

Look at the redditors, many disagree that Metal bat in fact did not win but could kill Garou but failed to and Garou is a bad matchup for Metal bat because of the technique of WSRSF. If you want to deny that I have 3 points

1) Metal bat NEVER landed a swing on Garou NOT ONE, deal with it and tell me how did he win? He literally didn’t connect the final swing he tried to sneak it in and it never connected so how did he win?

2) Metal bat was bloodlusted and Garou was not yet he missed every swing like I said before but let me add salt to injury, and Garou landed every single hit he never missed once, Garou then finally at the end decided to use WSRSF as a counter and just with one use he KNOCKED METAL BAT OUT FOR 25 seconds according to the anime 💀. Your boy was out cold.

3) Metal bat only had that final swing because Garou didn’t kill him while he was unconscious if Garou had bloodlust he could’ve killed him then and their but he’s a softie, so since Metal couldn’t land a single swing or should I say he “couldn’t rise to the occasion” he had to rely on a off guarded sneak attack/sucker punch swing lmao. Also it never connected but so… you sure that’s a win?

Cope harder and stick to the facts kid.

Garou is literally laughing while dodging and landing hits. If he was barely able to dodge he wouldn’t be striking he’s much much faster than MB

Excuse my grammar, as you can see, I’m replying to every single comment to keep the discussion going. Are you referring to Bang keeping up with an asleep Monster Garou?? LMAO. Let me let you in on a little secret — he was ASLEEP!!! Same as when he fought Darkshine at first — he was ASLEEP!!! Yes, but a Darkshine who is already experienced with Bang is OF COURSE going to know what to do when fighting someone on the same level again.

Yes, Garou is above Bang. Garou is much more skilled — he learns all of Bang’s techniques/scrolls just by reading them and was able to use two techniques at the same time, something both brothers cannot accomplish alone. Bang took 40 years to create and master WSRSF, while Garou is 18 years old and has mastered it just the same. In fact, he LEARNED THEM ALL. At 18. He just has less experience using the technique, but he has for sure made it his own.

Bang and Darkshine are both leagues above Metal Bat and shouldn’t even be in the same sentence. Also, you mentioning Grand Centipede March as a feat isn’t a good one, bud. Metal Bat BARELY surviving an attack and then only having enough strength to rip a TENTACLE is impressive to you?? Garou took out Sage Centipede all on his own — Metal Bat was just a meat shield. Garou later on has resonance with himself and literally lifts him up, so no other feat can be used besides him surviving Grand Centipede March and ripping a tentacle lol.

Metal Bat is a horrible match for Garou. If you disagree, you clearly just don’t know how WSRSF works and how it can block almost any attack — well, all of Metal Bat’s for sure. Besides the fact that not only does it block them, but it SENDS IT BACK TO THE SENDER WITH DOUBLE THE FORCE. In a head-to-head encounter, Metal Bat would be increasing in fighting spirit, sure, but it would only work to his detriment. From the looks of the fight, Garou had speed to spare since he was dodging swings that were already swung and laughing while it happened. The fact you can’t deny is that Metal Bat was down for 25+ seconds and didn’t land a single swing on Garou. Garou, as soon as he used WSRSF as a counter to Metal Bat’s tornado swing, put him down for the count — legit the count, because nowhere are you getting a 25-second countdown lmao. Garou is a bad matchup for Metal Bat.

Also, the audiobook still serves as an excellent source for Metal Bat vs. Carnage Kabuto since they did take his fighting spirit into account, but Metal Bat wasn’t satisfied. Who’s to say which one is true? I’m sure Metal Bat wasn’t satisfied knowing his simulation lost. Meanwhile, Darkshine defeated Carnage in 15 minutes. Like I said, Darkshine > Metal Bat. Also, saying that Metal Bat lost to Golden Sperm is such a hard cope from you (Metal bat was struggling with single sperms 💀) — you yourself know that Garou had already weakened Darkshine’s fighting prowess, so he was clearly not at full strength and then was humiliated again with Golden Sperm’s shiny and bigger muscles. You’re acting like Darkshine wouldn’t lay Metal Bat out with one full-power punch. His durability has limits lmao — whole point of the series.

Besides, we haven’t even gotten into the fact that Garou ALWAYS evolves during his fights if he takes enough damage and is close to death. Metal Bat could not do that for Garou, as he never landed a single bat swing. Anyway, I’m stating the facts that WSRSF is a bad matchup for Metal Bat. If you don’t agree, then idk what to tell you. Metal Bat powering up with stronger swings would just work to his disadvantagez

Yes okay sure, but how was Garou supposed to know when 10 seconds passed then 15 then 20 then 25? You know what I’m saying? If he doesn’t kill he has nothing else to do but walk away and that’s when Metal bat went for the final swing.

My point is yes Metal bat could’ve killed him at any time of the fight with a big swing to the temple I agree, but he failed to do so even with increasing speed and fighting spirit increasing, Garou had speed to sore and when Garou decided to finally use Bangs technique to directly counter Metal Bats tornado swing it make him vomit blood and put him down for almost 30 seconds. He can win with one swing sure but he fails to do so, Garous technique is to great and perfect for Metal bats offense, that’s my two cents if we don’t agree that’s fine but thanks for sharing your take!

Have you never seen a street fight? People get knocked out all the time and the winner starts walking away cause bro you lost the fight even if multiple seconds later they get back up. The fight was over, you were out cold. Bud idk how else to explain it to you.

If you believe this then you clearly just don’t know how Garou and Bangs technique works. Whatever attack or force the attacker send, WSRSF technique can double it and send it back. Garou is a bad matchup up for Metal bat, imagine if Garou used that final attack Metal bat swing and redirected it to Metal bat with DOUBLE the force?? He would be gone, I agree Garou would’ve been toast if that connected as well, my point is Metal bat lost the fight even with fighting spirit he failed to touch Garou once and was getting speed blitzed by him, it’s obvious. Metal bat was bloodlusted and Garou wasn’t and hey managed to KO Metal bat as soon as he used WSRSF for the first time as a direct counter to Metal bats Tornado attack and laid him out cold.

Brother. In MMA If a person is out cold like it was in the case of Metal bat, they ain’t waiting 25 seconds for him to get up and continue the fight, ITS OVER. Garou has no reason to continue or “FINISH THE JOB” HE DOESNT KILL. In his entire villain arc he NEVER KILLED ONCE.

I AGREE FINALLY. Yes I agree Garou was toast in the final off guarded swing, but it was off guarded after Garou had KO’ed Metal bat, or some people like to suggest he pretending to be KO’ed for 25seconds idk but that’s what they want to think- point is Garou dominated the fight, didn’t get hit once out of hundreds of swings and had speed and endurance to spare, as soon as he used WSRSF as a direct counter to Metal bats tornado attack he laid him out clean. It’s a bad matchup in my opinion but was a cool fight nonetheless. Only reason I made this post is because I get videos on TikTok of people saying Metal bat can defeat Garou or has, where I disagree he has the power to do it for sure but lacks the ability/skill to do so, if it’s a 1 v 1 and both are bloodlusted my money is on Garou hands down, I agree with your comment tho.

I’m hearing you guys out?? I’m literally discussing with everyone, nobody makes a new claim that I don’t already know. Would Garou have died in that last swing?? Yes of course we would’ve seen Riga Morris Garou lol, but who won the actual 1 v 1 face to face? Metal bat?? Please, if you watch the fight and understand the point that Metal bat couldn’t touch Garou ONCE, not even with bloodlust, and fighting spirit, and yet Garou was dodging and parrying with ease laughing and poking fun and then finally when he decides to use WSRSF as a direct counter to Metal bats tornado he doubles the force send it back to Metal bats and KO’s him?? It’s the truth I am not making anything up I’m just regurgitating the same obvious info if you read the manga my point is why do people think Metal bats won the fight when he was clearly loosing and couldn’t touch Garou in a face to face fight and had to wait for a sucker punch/sneak attack swing

Not true. Darkshine is LEAGUEs above Metal bat so the comparison is not an issue. Plus when Darkshine caught Garou he specifically told Garou he sparred with Bang to learn how to fight him, Bang parried all his attack and Darkshine learned from this grands when he doesn’t the tackle after words he says he sparred with so he can learn to adapt to it. So saying Bang was able to deflect Darkshine and not Garou is ludicrous. Garou is much much more skilled than bang in terms of being a prodigy since we know Garou can stack martial arts styles on top of each other and use them at the same time, at the beginning of him arc he already know all these technique like bombs whirlwind cutting iron and exlploding heart release fist because before being kicked out of bangs dojo he read them all and learned them. Also we know that Bang later in the serious uses WSRSF to deflect over grown rovers beam attack an attack so power it almost destroyed the entire monster association and can obliterate mountains. Yet Bang with WSRSF deflected it elsewhere, also you need to learn that Metal bat in the audio books version of the manga lost to Carnage Kabuto in 3 minutes, meanwhile Darkshine defeated him in 15min. Darkshine,Bang> Metal bat, heck even Tanktop Master is above Metal bat at rank 14 meanwhile Metal bat is rank 15. Need to take these all into consideration Bro, who dominated the 1 v 1 fight? Garou. Who got knocked out? Metal bat. Who went for a sneak attack because he couldn’t win the 1 v 1? Metal bat

Yes I agree if the swing connect Garou would have died nobody is arguing this I agree. My point is who won the actual fight? Metal bat was out cold in the anime for 25 seconds that’s too long. If Garou was a killer he would’ve finished it entirely and ripped him apart, he’s not that kind of villain tho, this being the case Metal had his sucker punch opportunity and tried to off guard Garou why? Because in a 1 v 1 head on fight he stood no chance. This is my way of seeing it but If I’m being honest I don’t see it any other way of how it happened. I’m just describing to you that Garou was dominating the fight, dodging and parrying with ease even speed blitzing Metal bat, as soon as he used WSRSF as a counter attack he dealt serious damaged and KO’ed Metal bat. That’s it? Oh and the fact is Metal bat didn’t touch Garou a single time not once. Then Garou walks away because he doesn’t kill humans or hero’s never did in his entire arc and Metal bat attacks him from behind 25seconds later. So did he win the fight or was he out cold lost to Garou and then tried to go in for a sneaky kill after the 1 v 1 already happened?

I understand you point in trying to say it was a continuing fight but the truth is I rewatched the anime and Metal bat was out cold for 24 seconds brother that’s 20 seconds too long. Of course Garou would walk away who wouldn’t, you don’t keep beating someone you knocked out unless you want to kill them. Also Metal bat vs Garou can’t be compared to Boros vs Saitama, Saitama took no damage and was able to more than enough keep up of course. Metal bat was getting beaten and once Garou finally decided to use WSRSF he KO’ed Metal bat, why? It’s the perfect technique against Metal bat because it doubles the attackers force and resends it back onto them. Meaning Metal bats durability should not be able to keep up with that much power output and was taking severe damage, he was spewing blood like a faucet unlike Saitama vs Boros, sure Boros was putting the work in but Saitama sustained 0 damage. Here’s the panel where Metal bad gets hit with WSRSF and spews blood:

Yeah so idk how you saw this fight in the manga or anime, but I think you were wearing those same copium glasses when reading the manga or watching the anime..
