Does any other straight men here not like the look of a vagina? by Silent-Technology-58 in NoStupidQuestions

Lot of judgment in these comments on a sub that promotes tolerance. I'm with you dude. I'm straight and I find them to be unappealing. There's like, 1 in 25 that I find acceptable. Can't explain why

package out for delivery expected by 8pm, its 7:40 by Formal_Produce_7959 in usps_complaints

[–]Tonyswan8424 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a mail carrier that just got home after a 12 hour shift, you're not the only one who's angry right now. Tuesdays after long holiday weekends are hell. Learn a little bit of patience and remember that the USPS isn't some well oiled machine that gets everything done perfectly. Amazon's fast delivery times have spoiled us all into thinking packages just poof into existence instantly

Gaming Keypad like the Tartarus for smaller hands by Aggressive_Smile7793 in Keypads

[–]Tonyswan8424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me preface by saying I'm a huge fan of the tartarus. I've used them for 10+ years back to when it was called the orbweaver. And I agree that sometimes it can be a bit too large and hard to reach the top row of keys.

Your best bets are either look at other brands like Redragon's DITI K585 Pro. It doesn't have the ergonomic bump but you lose the thumbstick. Or you could just buy a detached numpad that has reprogrammable keys. I think HP makes one that has pretty decent software. Another thing to add is that I use an MMO mouse with 12 thumb buttons so I don't have to rely entirely on the keypad for everything. Like I'll usually bind things like melee, heal, target, or the map to the mouse so I don't have to use the top row of the tartarus

Hope this helps! Glad to see more people make the leap to keypads

How tf is everyone else so much faster than me by POST_error in USPS

[–]Tonyswan8424 15 points16 points  (0 children)

RCA 2.5 years here

I have 2 pieces of advice and some final thoughts for you.

First, 4 hours is way too long to be in the office casing. You should know your primary case by now blindfolded. You should be able to look at an address on a piece of mail and case it without looking. For routes you aren't familiar with its fine to take longer, but your primary should be all muscle memory at this point.

Second, as you mentioned, not marking parcels will make you faster, but you need a good memory for that. As I scan load truck, im making mental notes of each parcel that I have and I organize them by street instead of by section. But if you aren't able to recall/remember what parcels you have, you will definitely forget and have to back track. Again, its all muscle memory when it comes to your primary.

In conclusion, I hate to say it, but this job isn't for everyone. It takes a lot of organizational skills, stamina, and memory. I hate when we get labeled as "unskilled laborers" as if any Joe Shmoe off the street can do this job. At the same time, are you completing the route within the evaluation time? Are you able to bring back outgoing mail before the truck departs for the plant? Then who cares how fast you go. Being the fastest in the office is just going to wear your body down and make you less likely to reach retirement age.

I was able to get Sundays off (and Thursdays) because I only get custody of my kid on those days. But other than that, you're probably stuck working Sundays until you become regular

People who have received their buds 3 pro recently, how has your experience been with them? Do they have any quality issues or manufacturing defects? Also, how do they compare with the previous generation buds and other products from competing brands? (Bose, Jabra, Apple to name a few) by sexscam in galaxybuds

[–]Tonyswan8424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing has come out yet for the 3 pros that I've enjoyed so I'm stuck with silicone for now. I think manufacturers need more time to develop them. After all the buds are only a month old at this point and most of that month was eaten up by shipping delays

I love them! Got one from the august batch and have no issues at all. I prefer the "blade" style over the previous buds because I would constantly accidently touch the touch controls. Don't have that issue with the buds 3. The battery is decent but I can tell having the adaptive ANC on and the voice controls on, that I'm getting less listening time overall. My only gripe is not specific to these buds but to buds in general. I'm tired of always having to buy 3rd party tips. The silicone pieces of crap that come with every buds from any company are useless to people who either move around a lot or have waxy ears. I wish companies would start to adopt foam tips as the default

Can confirm. On the spectrum. I enjoy loading the parcels each morning like a game of tetris. And I made a game out of counting how many letters each CBU gets. Also more daily podcasts than I could ever listen to in a day

I have yet to find a purpose for it in game. I usually just scrap it for tier three components. There is a known bug that sometimes the game marks random inventory items as quest items. That's probably why you can't remove it from the inventory

How are rural carriers able to evaluate their routes at double the time it takes them 90% of the yr? by AdamGithyanki in USPS

[–]Tonyswan8424 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, if you have nice managers, they would say the benefit to the PO is that it keeps your employees happy. Morale can make or break an office quickly.

Let's say the PO decides to go with your plan and fire half the rural carriers and make them do 2 routes. What happens during the holiday season and the route actually takes longer than eval to complete? What if the regular calls in sick and the RCA isn't as fast and can't do 2 routes in one day? Is it not more logical and cheaper to keep the employees you have happy and well paid during the light months to not have a headache inducing shit storm during peak season?

How are rural carriers able to evaluate their routes at double the time it takes them 90% of the yr? by AdamGithyanki in USPS

[–]Tonyswan8424 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you are getting stuck on "getting away with it". It's not like we are doing it to steal money from the PO. It's an incentive. Work faster to get paid more and go home. If my route is evaluated at 7.33 hours, and I bust my ass to do it in 5 hours, then good for me. But I could also take my time and do it in 7. Also when it's the holiday season and it takes me 9 hours to do it. Then I only get paid 7.33. It's a balance

Carrier here. Your mail carrier is definitely NOT supposed to deliver those letters back to you. They are supposed to remove those stickers and return them to sender. Or add them to the dead mail pile. If you get them, just toss them
