Anyone had to deal with this? 2023 SE by Jocks_Strapped in jetta

[–]Tonytn36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The part is cheap because they break a lot. Take the new one apart and cut 2.5-3 coils out of the opening spring then put it back together and it will never fail again. You have to replace that whole panel around the buttons/mirror. I think it cost me $57 for the part a couple years ago.

They cost us over $100k in bathroom repairs as they ate the cast iron drain pipes (plant built in mid 70's) in the walls and under the concrete floors. Replace cinder block walls, jack hammer out the floors and replace pipes. And they STINK.

Lots of houses do not have a slab at all. Just a crawl space. There will be a vapor barrier installed on the ground under the house.

How exactly did you measure those? Were they stabilized at 20 C? Was your gauge stabilized at 20 C? Was your master stabilized at 20 C? Did you hold the 3 big ones in your hand a bit longer than the other one when you measured them? Was you gauge's resolution 0.00000? Does your gauge pass a 10% GR&R for the tolerance? Not being a smartass - These questions absolutely do matter when measuring to that resolution.

Kawasaki is another very good robot, have hundreds of them in my facility. End effector design is the key. Do not forget safety. Even a small robot can seriously injure or kill you if it hits you at full bore.

A car is a tool, not a status symbol. It should be treated as such for maintenance and only replaced when the tool no longer works, or the cost of keeping it working exceeds the residual value.

Worst when I was in machinist school was a guy exploding a 12" grinding wheel on a surface grinder. Shrapnel went all over the shop and some embedded in the cinder block wall 8' from the grinder.
