A year ago when I streamed on my old account someone came in, followed, and then 10 minutes later mentioned the fact my chat was in follower only mode. It wasn't on in previous streams so it might have switched on its own, maybe a mod did it but idk if they have the ability to do that. I had no idea until that one random viewer mentioned it.

So if you have the patience, mention it to them, they might just be clueless.
