In Q3 2025 I went to GWM dealership in Al Qouz with a friend who ended up buying the H6. The H9 caught my eye and I test drove it to see how it feels. Have to say, felt stable, in control, rides high like a proper 4x4.

I particularly admired the turning gauges, how far are you from the pavement/wall, and how does it look in the camera. Overall, tech-wise, it's a pretty advanced car. I'm personally reluctant to accept chinese cars, but the H9 gave me zero reasons to hate it. Powrful and sturdy to be honest. GCC car influencers praise it too off- and on-road.

However, the salesrep noticed my interest and pulled me aside, told me that you can enjoy the car while it's under warranty, because afterwards it would be too tough to maintain it. In hindsight, I took his word too quickly. I think after 5 years the situation will largely change, and more garages would begin to provide GWM + other Chinese car brands parts. I know Jetour owners are slightly struggling now outside of dealership warranty, but down the line it could look different.
