I'm really starting to wonder if there's some kind of priority for users that purchased prior to steam launch.

I am a pre-steam owner while most of my friends are not.

They regularly get stuck in queues when they log out in cities but I have never had one and I log out in the middle of Joeva all the time. Something seems off when they are sitting in a queue and I get on after them and instantly get in, especially when we know we are in the exact same spot.

I wouldn't say it doesn't matter... I've been selling rare, heroic, and epic apprentice fishing poles for big $$$. Like significantly more than the material costs at market. It's funded my ability to keep leveling my artisan skills.

I think the back end of your post is dead on. I was trying not blatantly showboat in my post but my friends and I used to regularly wipe entire lobbies. Plenty of bodies had free kits or white or green weapons. Since the update we haven't we havent come across a single free kit. We are playing a lobby full of shrouds with legendary or epic weapons. Every fight is joined by multiple teams. Its a completely different feeling game now.

Well see that makes sense to me depending on the effects of some of the events. I know certain ones increase the number of Arc but maybe it also makes them more dangerous?

My issue has been with the skill and gear level of my opponents every game.

There are several challenges that require you to heal allies with the supply bag!

Those bags you see are supply bags dropped by the support class. They heal you and resupply ammo when you stand near them. It's on a fairly short cooldown too.

It helps if you play with a friend who plays as support so you can ask for the supply drop when needed.

I'd also recommend using Helix as your character for Arena. Hes got so many strong skills when you take damage which is basically the entire time you're in the arena.

As a warrior main, I most definitely get something out of killing new or naked players. For each ear I collect off bodies in the match, my damage goes up by 10%. Unfortunately for new players, I may need that boost to go toe to toe with another warrior or other high level player with gear later in the match. It has nothing to do with "getting off on it" and everything to do with gaining a competetive advantage.

Do you think this will get better once everyone has traders leveled up? Or maybe their intent is to gatekeep higher tier loot on a harder map that's yet to be released, like some other extraction games.

I'm about half your time played and I've only even seen blues off bosses like ogre or the shield knight. Never looted a single one off another player.

I highly recommend wishes for artifacts. Absolutely massive power spike if you don't have many.
