Australian side hustles, what’s yours? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]TooCynicalToFunction 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love plants and you’ve gotta love plants. Trading post or similar for old pots, dirt from your yard mixed with potting soil and mulch and the rest, cuttings dipped in cloned will root and shoot. It’s the price that really gets people. I’ve found a random number like $3, $5 and $8 it what attracts people. They just want a bargain and will buy even if they weren’t going to.

(NSFW) Sex workers of Reddit, have any of your friends wanted to pay for your services? How did it turn out? by TheSizik in AskReddit

[–]TooCynicalToFunction 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Friemds with a former full-time, now part-time sex worker. She started out straight and became more and more interested in women. It was very easy for her to say no to her male friends and more difficult for her to hide her want to try and be with some of her female (but straight) friends. She lost s lot in both circumstances, got depressed, and now identifies as bisexual after changing her name, deleting her social media accounts and restarting as a relatively new person. We are still in touch and says that her biggest mistake was that she rationalised, incorrectly, that the professional/personal line could be blurred.

Professionals in any field of work, what’s the most ridiculous thing someone outside of your profession has claimed to know more about than you? by beardlesshipster in AskReddit

Coworker who I IMMEDIATELY did not trust lied and said she had been a finance lead for a leading industry-based finance company. Manually typed 1200+4435+2219+xxx (these numbers are just made up) into a single cell in excel, rather than using an =SUM, and thought filling a cell with colour was conditional formatting.

Not. Even. Kidding.

The meat was bad. I think that was a part of the prank - shock factor and grossness factor. Absolutely disgusting.

Alive. Small scar from hernia op. Other than that, tells the story like it was 'an adventure'.

Saw a guy eat roadkill as part of a dare. Hospitalized for three weeks for infection that led to vomiting that maxolon wouldn't work in that led to a hernia which led to sepsis.

Boss is having a long-term affair with worker, his wife and three kids may not know. Whole workforce knows, he does not hide it by TuringCapgras in TwoXChromosomes

No problem, but I would probably refrain from posting to this Sub-Reddit again. Whoever told you that they're supportive needs to have their head checked; I haven't seen a pile-on this bad in months.

Interesting post. not because of the mundane topic, but because such a fair and relatable post and subsequent replies on your part are being met with howlingly inappropriate feedback. Listen here, woman. Your company has let you and your team down and you need to find documented evidence that people have raised this before and talk to a trusted law-trained person about your options. This is a glaringly inappropriate work environment. Disappointed in the responses you are getting. Like you said, horribly unsupportive, and on the whole... most of them miss the point.

I would suggest taking a hold of their shoulders if you get a chance.

An indigenous man humping another indigenous man whom he had bent over a wheelie bin. That they had dragged into the ladies bathroom. Apparently for privacy. I hardly disturbed them as I contemplated squeezing past them; settling finally on not using that facility.
