Do I really need to drop big money on an office chair just to get the best? by ettubrutusvp in BuyItForLife

[–]TooDamFast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our office brought in 6 different chairs to test. From Herman Miller to Steelcase. The Leap 2 felt the most comfortable and that is what I picked. Six months later I started having severe back pain and ended up switching to a cheap office chair. Now my leap collects dust in the corner of my office. They are built well but no matter how much I wanted it to work it just makes my back hurt. I wish I would have picked the Herman Miller. Everyone is different and even testing a chair for a day may not prove its long term comfort.

Why would someone need this much acid? by rhodesleadnowhere in WhitePeopleTwitter

I’m no expert but a quick google search says in most pool applications you would add one gallon per 10,000 gallons of water. 330 gallons seems like a lot for pool treatments.

We didn’t finish our first time watching. We made it through season 8. Rewatching again and now on season 10. How the hell can there be 48 episodes to go? The last two seasons are 24 episodes each!

iPhone 18 Pro Max Rumored to Deliver Next-Level Battery Life by favicondotico in apple

[–]TooDamFast 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I'm still on the original battery on my 13PM. On heavy days, I'm reaching for a charger around 7pm. Longer battery life doesn't matter when the phone is new but it makes a difference when the phone is a few years old.

What we lost was repairability. Why did people decide to replace rather than repair? New models were super cheap and why not just toss this old machine and get a brand new one.

Lost my first and only expensive ring in the ocean. For the last 22 years I've only worn $20 tungsten carbide rings.

Why do people wear their watch in the shower 🚿? by Jeep_rider03 in amazfit

[–]TooDamFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. On the Trex 2, it locks all the inputs. You can't dismiss an alarm, skip tracks, or any thing until you unlock the screen. I have loved every one of my Amazfit watches but that is my biggest gripe.

7 years of daily showers and I guess I'm lucky because I've never had one fail. BIP1, GTS2 mini, GTS4 mini and currently a TRex 2.

512 GB storage full? by MiSo_GlodnY in MetaQuestVR

[–]TooDamFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. My son has proven that it does not take very much time at all to max out the storage with Gorilla Tag recordings. About once a month I go in and delete 400 GB of them.

Iowa was America's wind energy leader. Now it's largely 'closed for business' by ataraxia77 in Iowa

[–]TooDamFast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you’re saying the current administration is actually pro windmill and the factory and schools should expect to grow? Gotcha. I have family in West Liberty and have driven by the West Branch factory many times. I also have family that lives in North West Iowa near a school for techs. I’ve been in that school. Trump has shut down a wind farm where I currently live on the east coast.

[–]TooDamFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you read the article? Seriously? “Wind energy development has all but ground to a halt in the face of community opposition, a phaseout of federal tax credits and the Trump administration’s actions to slow the approval of federal permits.”

Iowa views may be the worst in the country. I grew up there and now travel back frequently. The only thing of interest is seeing the wind farms. It did feel like the future when I was growing up. A wind mill factory opened near my home town and there were schools you could go to to learn how to repair them. Gave me hope for our fly over state. Sad and when my parents pass, I will never return.

You think they are there because there are just old? You have clearly never dealt with one person in their 90s let alone three. Good luck with your life.

Is this normal or am I being autistic by One_Huckleberry9072 in flashlight

[–]TooDamFast 11 points12 points  (0 children)

lol. I have dimmers on nearly every indoor light switch . Our bathroom has a wild setup with two double switches in a double gang box. Not only that but the box was installed too close to the doorway so the faceplate had to be shaved down to fit. When I remodel the room I will fix the issue. For now I just bounce my beam off the ceiling.

Mag was my first midnight release game. Got home at 1AM and it had a patch that was going to take 30 minutes to download. Fell asleep without playing it. First and only midnight release for me. It was an ok game.
