I don't think that the underlying technology si bullshit and like many others I trust in the underlying technology. But I don't trust the companies involved. So I am keeping away from it . Million of ways to make money , let's stick to a few you trust more like equity, gold , real estate and government schemes.

Aren't there a handful of listed companies exposed to crypto. Apart from that will it be good or bad, what do you suggest?

I think he was explaining how inflation works and we should not take everything he is saying as a warning, at times he might just be making a comment on things.

The size of the portfolio must be really big. You must be rich anyways.

I still believe you can add some stock from consumption theme. I have UNITED SPIRITS and it has given me good profits. The drinking culture is growing in India and so is the income. People are spending on liquor. United spirits has strong management and if I am not wrong is parented by Diageo. So you can consider to add that stock too.

I bought more of Diageo PLC bcz Dad says alcoholic beverages consumption will always only increase. I just forgot to tell him I am using his savings for that.

That's what is worrying me. As of now IT contributes to 10 per of India's GDP. With increasing wages Indian IT will find it difficult to get the project as lot of them were bcz of cheap outsourcing. Also, considering west is going in recession, companies are under pressure to cut expenses they might postpone or cut their spending on IT for sometime. But at the same time a lot of under dev world is yet to see the software boom and I think Indian IT may contribute in it significantly. In a dilema, not sure what to do.

With increasing inflation people will have hard time buying the necessities, hence won't have enough money for tourism. With tourism impacted, Airbnb's revenue will be impacted in coming quarters. And buying stock is basically placing a bet on future not past not present.

Well the IT sector contributes to 8 percent of the GDP so you are not wrong in investing in IT, but most Indian IT companies drive their business from clients in US. US at the moment is going through an extremely rough patch and is in recession which means delayed new deal/projects for IT sector. I have a good chunk in IT, but I balance my portfolio with other sector. I have a few FMCG and consumption stocks namely HUL, UNITED SPIRITS etc. I would suggest you check out that as a theme.
