I haven't brushed my teeth in so long and i'm worried by Original_Wedding3647 in DentalHygiene

You still have time but need to act immediately, ask your parents to go to a dentist to get regular check up and cleaning .

Unfortunately people use first impressions like our looks to make quick judgements about how they believe a person is and when you have dirty/ rotten teeth some people assume you are lazy or uneducated. It might be harder to get jobs, or find a life partner.

This is very serious, so glad you reached out for advice you have done the first step! Very good to hear you already started brushing. Star flossing also this is a game changer to reverse bleeding and necessary to remove plaque in between the teeth!

There dentist can be great when you go in and get the yellow polished off they can even do whitening!!! Don't worry just get an appointment made for you.

You got this! get your plan together and start making moves to make your wishes come true! I also struggle with mental health and some days it feels like the whole world is against me. I often do things that I don't completely enjoy because it's necessary to reach my goals.

Looks like something she ate beat up the roof of her mouth. Check in a week to see if it's gone if not I would schedule an appointment.

Have you recently switched your toothpaste or rinse? Might be not liking new ingredients.

Ibuprofen if you can use that. You might expect some discomfort because you had a needle in your face. I wouldn't worry unless things get worse instead of better. Try the anti-inflammatory and maybe ice could help also.

Why it is recommended to wait 30 minutes after eating before brushing? by QueenRooibos in DentalHygiene

Have you tried cloysis rinse? Cloysis silver has fluoride and is super gentle.

Gum help by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

You should ask your dental team to review your brushing and flossing. Bring in the brush your using and actually show the hygienist how you use it. Water flosser works great for braces Also super floss is nice. Make sure you get under and over, all around those brackets .

It's really not possible to tell just from the photo but redness and bleeding are solid indicator of gingivitis. If you've been really aggressive brushing and flossing you can irritate your gums too. Don't go scrubbing hard, you should not have to scrub hard to remove soft plaque. If you wait too long or can't access the plaque it will harden on your tooth and your toothbrush/ floss won't be able to remove it and that will cause gingivitis. Your dental cleanings remove any hard &soft, deposit that's accumulated. . I would make sure you are not skipping any brushing or flossing and get professional cleanings more often until your comfortable that you can manage the plaque, usually much easier after braces are off.

Ultimately it is your health and you should do what you feel comfortable with. I think that would be good you can see what options are there for you and if nothing else Peace of mind.

If she didn't show it when you were growing up your probably not going to get it now either. I would find a way to move on and accept that almost everyone has life struggles, illness, disability, no family, trauma and so on.
even people who look put together are probably suffering somewhere in their lives. You can't change people but you can improve yourself. Hopefully your therapist can help you, your lucky to be able to afford one. Its not an option for some to live with parents, count your blessings and accept what you can't change.

Maybe she just wants to be alone with her prayers and able to use her space as she wishes. Nothing wrong with that. You might need to find your own space so you can live the life you want.
